  1. I would gladly take an OF consisting of a pissed off Fukudome flanked by Holliday and Soriano over a happy Fukudome with Edmonds/Johnson and Soriano. all that damn winning would likely cheer him up
  2. one guy I didn't necessarily want to give up, but he was a crucial piece to a pretty good deal
  3. 3/2 on the 40 man front, means they can add somebody. I'm guessing only Marshall has options, which makes him the obvious choice to leave the current roster. I believe they've got to consider calling up a bat though. the better choice would be DFA Marquis, but I'm not holding my breath for that one
  4. if good Rich Hill comes back, this will be a mighty fine rotation
  5. the Brewers need David Wells and John Kruk
  6. Jeter and its not particularly close. Just look at the RC. It's almost laughable. Jeter is 34, appears to be on the decline, and is making $21M a year. There is just about no player I would take him over with that salary. Who said anything about salary. Jeter's decline and Theriot's incline will never meet. It's almost a joke of a question. I really don't understand the level of Jeter hate on this board. Just look at his numbers. I've never hated Jeter. I recognize him as a terrific offensive player. however, he's declining and will continue to decline and his defense is borderline terrible. Theriot will never match Jeter's offensive numbers but over the next few years will provide better defense and the money allows for more important upgrades to the team. the question might as well be Sabathia + Theriot or Jeter when salary is considered.
  7. inspired by the movies thread in social
  8. it pains me to say, but Theriot mostly for $$$. the difference in production going forward probably isn't significant enough to offset that salary especially when that same money could be used to add another legit #1 starter
  9. you can't wait for me to see Wall-E before making this poll?
  10. I yelled "creature" at him once in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh being Pittsburgh we had great seats, two rows in back of home plate to the Cubs side of the field (in "the Home Plate" club) so I was probably 15 feet away from him. He stopped dead in his tracks and gave me a look that took six months off my life. I'd say if he knows it, he doesn't like it. it's all part of the Creature's act, man
  11. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time.
  12. there's a whole lot of it in this thread... http://www.bittermancircle.com/my%20images/BeatDeadHorse.gif
  13. put him on the 40, stick him in LF
  14. I'm gonna call Hendry and see if he can swing a deal that gets me Megan Fox
  15. that is funny as hell
  16. yet another thing we have in common
  17. Stone would be a huge upgrade over DJ
  18. he obviously needs psychological evaluations
