    Weis was hard after Heaps. Flew out here with his knee all fucked up just to sit in the stands since he couldn't talk to him. But ND's depth chart was iffy with Clausen and Crist in front of him. Should be an interesting couple years if having two former 5-star QBs on the roster can net him some more talent (esp on Oline).

    I've been hearing ceiling as well as current ability. He is what he is, would be a good descriptive term to describe him. And I think you may be overestimating one because the Cubs had such issues with that last year and the back end of the rotation cost the Cubs so many games. It's important to have rotation depth, but the 2011 level of awfulness isn't likely to repeat itself because of the injury issues we had. 92 FIP-. Randy Wells is rotation depth. Wood has a spot on almost any rotation. it's great that you think that, but almost everything i've read suggests that wood is just a guy. it's cool if he wants to pitch at the back of the rotation while he doesn't cost anything, but he doesn't seem like a guy we'll really want to see all the way through to free agency. He's 24 right?

    What? Basically, if it were July and we were 15 game out I'd e perfectly fine with Wood as a return for Marshall, an impending free agent but it's not a good enough return that we needed to do it now without seein what else we could get, and if it was the best offer at this time there was no urgency to move him and we could have waited until mid season. Sometimes (like after reading your last 2 posts) I get the sense that you type streams of thoughts without concern about how well formed they are.

I don't have to see evidence for and against every possibility out there to determine whether some of them are BS or are legit. i'm 95% sure that mark prior took a lot of performance enhancing drugs. i don't have to see evidence. that's my opinion.     I don't thin Bowden knows anything and he's certainly not breaking news with that tweet but it's curious he said "US" team... I surely would not assume that Jim Bowden knows that Toronto is not in the U.S. he reads nsbb and was referencing the guy that said it was more American than Miami.
