    Easy. He is a good prospect. The key word being PROSPECT. Carlos gave up 7 runs in 4 innings in his first start. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=210820316 Don't judge Ryu by this one game. Sounds to me like he's a sinkerballer and was maybe a little amped up for the start today and wasn't getting the ball down in the zone because of it.

    Did everybody just hear the disappointment in Len's voice when he said Rusch was in the game?

    It seems to me that Marshall is putting up a solid effort every other time out. He hasn't been spectacular by any means but I think overall his performance is encouraging. The fact that teams are not continuing to crush him leads me to believe that when he is locating, which seems to be more often than not, he is an effective major league pitcher. Thoughts from anyone who has a better knowledge of the situation than I do?

We're determined to put Randa back in the line up and replace Sanchez, who, for lack of 14 ABs, would be the second best hitter in the NL. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06146/693312-63.stm Lloyd used to say the players make the lineups. This obviously isn't the case under the new regieme. What do the Pirates need? Let's send them Rusch and Bynum for Sanchez. I think they're getting a better deal than they did when we got Aram. :D

    I posted this at the end of yesterdays game thread, but here it is again. If we lose today, we'll be 18-28. The exact same record as 2002 on the same date. Don Baylor was fired on July 5th, 2002. Quote from 2002: What's the difference between Baker and Baylor? Wow. Just wow. Amazing how history repeats itself. Well, maybe not in Hendry's eyes.
