I would think Brewers fans are saying the same thing about Dempster. They're too busy mozzerella sticking their way to an early grave. Strangely enough, outside of Milwaukee and Green Bay, I have found the people of the state of Wisconsin to be in exceptionally good shape in spite of all the beer drinking and cheese eating. They're just outside doing stuff a lot. This still surprises me even after going to college in Wisconsin for 4 years.
Freel is hitting 292/327/354 and is sitting so Corey Patterson 213/281/475 can start. Gotta love some Dusty. So Patterson has a better OPS, and is a far better baserunner and defender. Keep. Reaching. I don't have to reach to know Dusty is a bad manager and the Reds will be under 500 at the end of the season. And that batting at the top of the order, I'd much rather have the extra 46 pts. of OBP than the 125 pts of slugging.
It's unfortunate they can't trade any of the extra 7th rounders to move up. Maybe they could pull off a deal where they get somebody to pick for them and they do the same later, then make the trade after the draft.
The Chiefs are giving a lesson on how to draft. No kidding, they are getting some good looking players. And 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds? Lot of good players in there.
Where on defense do you think they have a hole to fill? Safety depth is really the only place I can think of. D line is always a good thing too. I think they'll get another O-line guy, and a QB at some point here. I'd like to see another DT to work into the rotation, but that's really about all. More lineman and maybe another WR with upside in later rounds for O.
Disagree, it will be Lou overmanaging and overusing Marmol. That will kill the bullpen by August because there won't be anybody with an arm left. I fail to understand how he's so protective of Wood and lets Marmol, who has just as violent a delivery go out there nearly every damn day.
We've been saying that a lot lately. Chew on this. Doesn't Ward PHing for Cedeno mean we'll have to see Fontenot if the game goes to extras? Eww. Well, that, unless Lou decides he doesn't hate Murton tonight.
I believe its 6 SB 4 CS. Don't forget one of those SB was because of a dropped catch at 3B in Pittsburgh, so realistically it should be 5 and 5 It really makes one wonder how he was 55 of his last 64 before that. He hasn't even been close on many of them this year. It seems like he's running more often now since he apparently has the green light all the time. They should take that away from him, yesterday. Nice quick inning by Demp, though. Pretty good outing for him.
