That was absolutely amazing last night! The crowd was really pretty great. I feel pretty optimistic about at least getting to game 7. Question: Was the outside corner to RH hitters as inconsistent as it looked from the left center bleachers?

Agreed re: interleague play. They also need to do away with player stats "resetting" when they're traded between leagues midseason. I'm pretty sure this has already happened.

I agree, it was close enough to call a swing, and certainly not egregious. Still, in a WS game, go to the first base ump is there's even a hint of doubt. you absolutely have to get a 2nd opinion there, and I wouldn't have been upset had the 1st base ump said he went too. but the guy who's watching the ball and not the bat shouldn't be calling that Yep, I thought he probably went, but there's no way in hell the plate ump should make that call.

I fail to understand why umpires aren't required to ask for help on checks wings. That's something that homeplate umpires just should not be allowed to call. It may not have made a difference tonight, but there's a chance it could have.

Why the hell is the runner going on that pitch? That's an absolutely terrible move and Bryant probably swings at that pitch because of it.

Definitely seemed like over managing by Tito. Although I guess he may have been thinking about Tomlin getting to the 3rd time through the order.

Seriously, if he gets cleared to play the field, this is a 30 for 30 for the ages. Just unreal. -
I was telling people at work today that Bauer is the kind of guy the Cubs abuse and he'd be lucky to get through 5. Glad to see I was right. Their pen will be in shambles by the end of game 4. This game went about as well as it could have.

If you told me before the game we'd get 5 2/3 out of Jake with only 1 run, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat.
