    Well I saw Joel Zumaya hit 104 on the gun twice against the Reds. Griffey jacked him for a GS on the second one. That was pretty great. He might come in today as Robertson has thrown 91 pitches and is starting the seventh!

    Pirates haven't been playing too bad lately. Won three in a row at SF same time the Cubs did and lost a heartbreak game 2-1 yesterday!

    Making a lot of pitches in two stressful and close games does not help keep him fresh for his next start with the high pitch counts where you could lose the game with one bad pitch. Apparently Dusty Baker does not take that into consideration because he wasn't a pitcher and he played in an era when pitchers usually went deep into games. I'm afraid that time has passed him by in his reasoning.

    I don't get it.... .we beat this guy like a rented mule 2 weeks ago, 8-3 behind Maddux...... now, we can't touch him. What's up with that ?? This is the lineup when they beat Claussen, why not use it again? Pierre, cf Womack, 2b Murton,lf Ramirez,3b Walker,1b Cedeno,ss Jones, rf Blanci,c Hmmmmm..... a 7 batter lineup. Very interesting !! I revised it, Fred. Sorry about that!
