  1. How about a "perfect" game for the rookie so Baker can tip his hat!
  2. Jackson with 13 pitches, Zambrano with 17. All systems go for the under 8 or 8 1/2.
  3. This game has the appearance of a "classic" under! Zambrano is the only one that is pitching good right now. With the anemic lineup, I predict the Cubs will not take pitches and help this rookie out. With that said, now let's see if the opposite will happen!
  4. Where is the guy that predicted that Capauno would not throw a CG shutout? It looks like he is going to give it a try with only 116 pitches thru 8 innings! I don't care for this move at all with a 6 run lead! Unfortunately, I am not paid to manage or think!
  5. One thing for sure, Capuano is not going to pitch a CG shutout tonight as he has thrown 79 pitches so far!
  6. The excitement for tonights game seems to have vanished as no lineups are posted. Guess I will go root for Oregon St to win the college WS and not have to see Roy Williams cheering in the stands.
  7. They got 11 hits, they just couldn't catch any breaks!
  8. The script calls for some runs here!
  9. Maybe they need Walter Matheau to manage them!
  10. The AL Central is absolutely murdering the NL Central so far this year. You're right, KC even swept the Pirates who won 3 of 4 at SF and lost the one in the nineth
  11. On a brighter note, Petite just gave up a grand slam and is losing 6-0 to the CWS. He is washed up, ditto for Clemens and Oswalt is ouchy and the team can't hit. I don't think they aren't going anyplace this year! I think they were very foolsih to re-sign Clemens.
  12. He needs some more work in the minors. I hope they haven't broken his spirit!
  13. Marmol has thrown 106 pitches. Is the shower on?
  14. Top of the lineup means Neifi and Pierre. Why be optimistic? You'll just end up hurting yourself. Your're right. Plus I didn't turn my rally hat around!
  15. Okay, third time thru the order and the top of the lineup coming up! =D>
  16. Dusty was pushing his luck to expect that crappy lineup to win two times in a row. Cubs got lucky playing Cleveland who was and is playing poorly. Minnesota on the other hand is hot and playing very good. So I guess the breaks are evening out and the crappy lineup is going to be 1-1! Of course Zamabrano and Marmol are not quite the same pitchers!
  17. I don't think he is as he is on the road in Texas.

  19. Actually, I would've guessed that. OK, then how about Baker still has a job to go to on June 21st?
  20. Both managers sticking with their starters? What is the temperature?
  21. But he said he wasn't hurt! Kerry Wood with shoulder problems? I would never believe that! Remember "They" told him that pitching in relief wouldn't hurt his arm!
  22. Maddux is good for possibly one more inning. I wonder if anybody is warming up?
