  1. His ERA is over 5. That's ridiculously awful. Ted Lilly is crying in the bullpen.
  2. Hopefully it'll be Marshall or Hart (or Soriano or Darren Baker or Hillary Clinton) I really hope Hart isn't still up by Sunday night.
  3. I saw Jason Dubois crush a homerun against the Nashville Sounds tonight. It was cool.
  4. I'd really rather Lou let him throw 170 pitches tonight and repeat until he has arm surgery.
  5. I'm watching him right now. They all look the same to me. It never ceases to amaze me how little some peopl actually see when watching a game. Nor does it amaze me how much people see beyond what is actually happening. It you dont think hitters shorten their swings, push the ball, swing for contact, etc... you have no idea what youre talking about Cal Ripken had many different batting stances. Sometimes in the same at-bat.
  6. Known to happen often when the manager sends runners. Which is stupid on a full count. I wish Earl Weaver could be our in-game manager.
  7. Usually only when Joe Morgan is in the booth.
  8. Known to happen often when the manager sends runners.
  9. I would've had Lee bunt the runners over, personally.
  10. I'm thinking Cardinals reject Randy Keisler at AAA might be better at this point. At least he'd find the strike zone occasionally. I'd settle for Andy Pratt every 5th day instead of Marquis. Now you've gone too far.
  11. Marquis has great stuff, so he can afford to put 1.64 batters on base per inning.
  12. I'll say this about Jason Marquis: he's not a good pitcher.
  13. NL leading No big deal. Among players with 50 or more at-bats, there are more than 50 players in MLB who ground into double plays at a higher rate. Lee has grounded into a lot of double plays because he's come up to bat with a runner on first so often.
  14. If the umps hadn't screwed us, we'd be up 7-3. 8-[
  15. My 3-year-old son, whose name is Ryan, told me this weekend that his favorite baseball player is now Ryan Theriot. Do you believe in spanking?
