    I'm not since even if we lose 3 of 4 in this series, we'd be tied with STL. Keep in mind, Kip Wells and Anthony Reyes are starting two of the four games, and Zambrano and Lilly are starting two games for us. I think we'll take 3 of 4, but a split looks to be the worst case scenario. but reyes and wells have pitched very well this month. wells is tossing almost 9k's per start in august. That's true, I just read those stats someone posted recently.

    Post of the day. Gotta win three of four. Totally agree. How can they be surging with that staff? They have been surging due to Reyes, Wells, and now Piniero all pitching well. Since the AS break Reyes has an ERA+ of 151, Wells has an ERA+ of 125, and Piniero has an ERA+ of 160 in his 3 start. Which is ridiculous. But, par for the course for that franchise. TLR and Satan agreed on a mid-season contract extension. I dont see how it is any different then what Jacque is doing right now. None of them are as bad as they were early in the season, and none of them are as good as they are playing now. Ha, I am sure you don't. Kip Wells isn't better than half of our AA staff right now. Piniero is terrible, but I am sure he will do just fine for you. Reyes is an ok pitcher. Looper is a reliever, a crap one at that. Congrats, once again you have overacheived, it must be nice to have this crap fall to you every single year. I agree with most of that, but Piniero has pitched well in the past. I'm not surprised by his NL success thus far.

    lol are you kidding me? What? Haven't you watch D. Lee since the all-star break? A pathetic excuse for a supposed leader with his hitting. I don't think Keener was disagreeing that DLee has been struggling, but that he doesn't deserve to have garbage thrown at him.

    James isn't proposing that you put names in a bag and draw them randomly. What he's refuting is the old school notion that you need a speedy leadoff hitter, all or nothing #4 hitter, etc. So your saying you would want Ty Cobb hitting 4th? Lol. yeah definitely wouldn't want a cleanup hitter who finished top 5 in SLG% 15 times Led the league in slugging 8 times, second 3 times, and third 3 times. Yeah I think he is the best baseball player of all time. I think you have to go with Ruth since he dominated as a hitter and as a pitcher.
