  1. Is Larussa calling for a pitching change to give the rain more chance at delaying this game? I wouldn't put such a move past TLR.
  2. That strategy could hurt the Cubs doubly if it jacks up their travel times.
  3. I hate to ask this as I'm sure it's been discussed already, but do we know when the rain is expected to meet Wrigley?
  4. So you went from Marquis to Marshall to Zambrano. Luck is certainly with you!
  5. Instead of looking at James's macro theory and applying it to the Cubs, let's think independent at what's best for our team. Because the Cubs offense is lacking power, and Theriot has been successful in the leadoff spot, the Cubs offense might best perform with Soriano hitting 3,4 or 5.
  6. Jon Miller: "Remember when the Red Sox were 14.5 games back? Now they're only 4 back." Yankees moran.
  7. "Onstar, can you give me directions to Wrigley Stadium."
  8. Any news on playoff tickets? When did the Cubs start selling playoff tickets in 2003?
  9. Hill and JJ should split player of the game. TheRiot is still on fire too.
  10. Alex Rodriguez says hello. What am I missing here? AROD>>>>>>>>PUJOLS no way. Pujols had a better VORP in 2006, 2004 and 2003, and in 2005 they were basically even. The comment referred to the best hitter in baseball, not the best hitter in baseball since 2003.
  11. He's not getting 20 homers this year.
  12. If Marmol isn't pitching the 9th...
  13. The sad thing is, if Jacque Jones hit 60 HRs and was given nightly curtain calls he would still never like the Cubs. For some reason, the Cubs fans just hated him like no other Cubs. Think about all of our bad FAs signings, none were ever hated as much as Jacque. The man hit a career high in HRs and was still hated by the Cubs. Not fair, and I feel really bad for the guy because you have to believe that he thinks racism is the reason. We hated Latroy Hawkins more. A lot more. Todd Hundley too. Based on performance... Cubs fans were ecstatic about the signing. Todd Hundley too. Cubs fans were ready to boo jacque heartily the moment he first stepped into the box at Wrigley. Perhaps Cubs fans were excited when Hundley first came to the team because of the legacy his father built with the Cubs. I'm sure that had something to do with his warm welcome, and JJ's contract situation and the disappointment that the Cubs settled on him when we wanted a better outfielder had something to do with Jones's lack of a leash from fans.

Not fair, and I feel really bad for the guy because you have to believe that he thinks racism is the reason. Todd Hundley. Put away the race card. He flipped off the fans. He brought that all on himself. Whatever the reason, Hundley was more hated than JJ. Think about the crap white guys who catch a pass though. Augie, Koyie Hill, Paul Baco. None of them caught what our black guys did. That wasn't what was being discussed. I was contesting the comment that JJ was the most hated Cubs player.

  17. I like Murton in this situation.
