    I thought I heard Levine say that the 2-3 year deal is basically not gonna happen, too big a gap in salary talks.

    Hahaha, what?! Zach Greinke sucks, he's not good at baseball. I don't see why several people in this thread think we'd be ripping the Royals off. Greinke is not good. Neither is Josh Hamilton. Potential > Production. I don't see much potential for a guy who was terrible in '05, sat out last year because he's a headcase, and has been terrible again as a starter this year. Are you kidding? He's been flat out ridiculous in the reliever role this year, and he's really young yet. He had some great starts at the beginning of the year.

    Dotel is by no means a sure thing. He's only thrown about 22 innings this year, and recently been hit hard.

    I'm not gonna blame Hendry for skipping this trading deadline. Sure C could be improved, but SS is a weakness on almost every team, and I think RF will improve, as will CF once Pie starts playing again. Basically, there's not a lot out there to like. Renteria, maybe, but Atlanta's price would be outrageous and most likely involve Gallagher. So I wouldn't want to do that.

    no way, not even close Not even close? I can't think of one. Granted every loss counts the same, but I can't think of a bigger one in terms of hertbreak factor. Three words. Victor @#$%ing Diaz. That was without a doubt the most soul-crushing loss of any regular season.

    It makes the Brewers better, but marginally so. In fact the difference may be altogether negligible. What they needed was a SP. With their bullpen the way it is now, I'm not really sure they do. Especially with Gallardo pitching while Sheets is on the DL.

    While the Padres got the better end long-term, this still makes the current Brewers team better. And that's bad for us.
