    Either that or Mesa is so low that they tell the players to simply work on one aspect of their game. Once that is completed, they advance them. But that's just a guess.

    Obviously not. The question is, why would you say it's not his fault? He insulted another person quite flagrantly and right to their face, because he gave up some home runs in the game and was touchy about it. That's his problem, and he chose to lash out at the reporter for it. He's a jerk.

    Neither are the journalists. To say Myers isn't at fault is ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is comparing players and journalists. Because one is any less human than the other?

    He was a starter, so he's used to throwing lots of innings. But yes, I definitely share your concern. Lou is using him like he's not going to need him in a month.

    Maybe they'll unload Carlos Lee this offseason (if he'd be willing to waive his NTC). Or maybe Oswalt. I'd be glad to have both of those guys out of the division. Frankly, that team is in such a hole right now, it'll take at least a few years to bring them back to respectability.

    I think the pieces are there, it's just that old habits die hard, especially when in a tight divisional race. It's easy to try new things when there's no pressure or the season just started, but when the chips are down I think people go with what they're used to.
