  1. They have lots of good prospects down there....maybe a three team trade with sending Todd Walker to the Marlins, good prospects to team C, team C sends us 2B? *shrug*
  2. For those who didn't/couldn't watch: http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/edda3cc8-37f8-419b-b1f2-7f049e8d76ac.jpg http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/b8325614-d0ae-418e-88a4-dec37fae8e68.jpg
  3. Since Florida is currently is cost cutting (or saving) mode, I highly doubt that Soriano's contract would appeal to them. $10M for one player would throw quite the monkey wrench into their plan to save in the short-term and stockpile young, cheap talent. And what better to work into their 'cost-cutting' mode than a $2.5 million second baseman?
  4. Maddux has always seemed like one of the smarter guys in the club. I do wonder what we'll do with him after this season. We can't exactly re-sign him....maybe two a one year deal with incentives? I'm guessing if he pitches well out of this season, which I expect him to, he'll want about a two year deal. And I'd hate to see him retire anywhere else but Chicago. Although the even more painful fact is that even if he pitches 250 innings and wins the Cy Young, he'll go into the HoF wearing a Braves hat. That hurts.
  5. It looked pretty bad. I can remember him staying down for what seemed like ages, and then he got to his knees. I think eventually he walked off the field under his own power. I bet Greenberg was wincing when he saw that.
  6. Let's not forget...this is not by any means a AAA club. But still. Good pitching today by the Cubs.
  7. A la Ron Santo? :p Wow. I wanna see much more of Marshall. He's filthy.f
  8. I woulda cried if I'd been that 3rd baseman. That just looked painful.
  9. Wow. Marshall looks very promising. On the last AB I was watching the radar gun. 92, 93, 88, 78 (this one he popped up) Good range of speeds.
  10. Yep. Although I'd rather see more of the Eyre-type innings.
  11. Wow. Chicago to Cleveland for $59? That's not bad at all.
  12. Yep, with two outs the sac fly is out of the question, and he's fast enough to score from 2B anyway.
  13. I think we've had more sac flies this spring than all of last year....
  14. I'll bet he'd be a good bench player.
  15. Much better inning for Hill. I wonder if Hairston would've picked up that grounder?
  16. Wow. Murton really did bulk up over the winter. Good AB by him.
  17. Theriot really is making that pitcher blink.
  18. WTF was that? Did he forget to let go? LOL
