    Why? So we can trade him? How long is his contract for, and how many starts do you think he'll take away from Marshall? I don't think it would be a bad thing if Miller did take some starts away from Marshall. Marshall was injured most of last year, so it would be good to somewhat limit his pitching this year (much like they did with Prior in 2002 when they shut him down for about the last month). Miller is signed for just this season. Unlike similar situations in previous years (Dempster, Williamson) the Cubs don't have an option on Miller for next year. Good points, I forgot that Miller wasn't signed for more than this season.

    With his countless one-liners and his ever present, uh, presence in every single sub-forum, Is_Pedro_There is truly a valued member of the NSBB humor contingent. Without him, I may have gone mad already.

    I remember being really angry that the Dodgers stole Furcal from us, after Furcal repeatedly said "It's not about the money", but I guess it really worked out for us in the end, minus the bizarre idea that if we had Furcal, we might have had a healthy DLee. IMO, the only negative thing that came from not signing Furcal was that we gave just a bit too much to the Marlins. But then, I really think Hendry was aiming to win this year, and those propsects wouldn't have fit into how he saw this year working (healthy everyone).

    He talked about possibly being traded to Detroit, which would really bring things full circle for him. Wow, that would really make Detriot a favorite in that division.

    The trip to New Orleans, then on to Los Angeles got scrubbed. Went to pick up the first load this morning, and they said "Who?", "What?", "When?". By the time the dust had settled, I'd waisted the whole day, and got nothing to show for it. They found me another load going to Memphis, but it doesn't pickup till morning. [sigh] Just out of curiosity, are you a truck driver? Wouldn't it be rather difficult to do the PBP whilst driving?
