  1. yeah damn lee only comes through when no one is on
  2. What's the point? Corey knows he's not doing well, he's obviously trying hard to break out of it. Booing him only hurts him, doesn't help him improve, and doesn't help his trade value if you want to get rid of him. You're not always going to get David Aardsma and Jerome Williams for a slumping player you boo out of town. And it's selective booing, where the heck is the booing for Neifi and others who have struggled at times just as badly as Corey. I really think he gets booed because of how much he was hyped. Which isn't really fair as it wasn't Corey telling everyone how great he was.
  3. How awesome would it be for the Rockies to win their first road series of the year in St. Louis? pretty sweet. Even sweeter if we would have taken care of business this series. We should have went for the sweep against Milwaukee and had some momentum going into this one, but Dusty had to play the forfeit lineup.
  4. so he comes up with one out and guys on first and third like yesterday and doesn't lead off. You put your best hitters 3 and 4 Burnitz isn't anywhere near the hitter Ramirez is.
  5. yeah but the boo birds were really going to be on him after that pop up on the 2-0 count with two guys on. And that is why booing is terrible. He could have easily been on base 4 times on Friday if Welke got some glasses and yet he's booed for taking pitches out of the zone in 3-2 counts. If you're want an player to improve, don't hate him when he does it. I love how a select percentage of fans can dictate what happens. Especially since based on my experiences at Wrigley, most of them are drunk and not paying much attention to the game. They're just waiting for a chance to boo him. I don't boo any of our players unless I feel they aren't trying. I have played enough baseball to know how freaking hard it is to do what they are doing at that level. Dusty however, is open field.
  6. Hollandsworth has been hitting well lately. But I agree with you Ramirez should be 4th. He has for the past couple of weeks, but it's still not much. And if Ramirez is hitting 4th, you'd likely split up the lefties with Barrett in the 6 spot. It's a better lineup. this is dusty we are dealing with though so we should just be happy after two months we finally have our 1-2 guys were they need to be.
  7. The Rangers released their opening day starter??

  9. man i hate nomar. i know he is really hurt but we have had him for parts of two years and never once have i really felt like he was a cub. he is like the dating a really hot girl, but never going out with her because she is always to busy.
  10. good ab here, lets make it a great one corey.
  11. Blame Dusty. oh i do. at this point i almost find it humorous though. could you imagine if a doctor showed this kind of reasoning? well sir, since your foot hurts i think we will have to give you tommy john surgery.
  12. Really? well everyone loves to jump on patterson for brain lapses, yesterday was the biggest gaffe you can have in sports. the one time the guy has to hit the ball in the air he can't if we would have had a runner on second there with no one out you know he wouldn't have hit the ball on the groung like he did there. Sure Burnitz has some lapses, remember the drop fly ball? But to call him worthless is a bit harsh don't you think? yeah it is harsh, but that play yesterday is just horrible yet he doesn't get the same treatment as patterson. thank god it wasnt corey that did that the good people of chicago would have lynched him. In all fariness though Corey has been consistently bad. very true.

  15. You can only take so much, and you can't hide the truth. thats what stoney thought too.
  16. damn brenly isn't pulling any punches on corey.
  17. why do the other teams best players always hit homers off of us?
  18. and the beat goes on. i hate them way more than the cards. they need to blow up that joke of a ballpark.
  19. at this rate in three weeks chad cordero's arm is going to fall off.
  20. we walk the .183 hitter to get to the guy who can hit. nice.
  21. He got too big of a secondary lead. The pitch was outside and it was an easy throw to third. And yeah, that ball was clearly a HR. I don't know how you can miss that... Did Dusty bother to get off his seat and argue? ah from that angle they got the call right. and yes dusty did argue it.
