They need to lose? Good God man. I don't know about you, but I'm rooting for a Cubs win first and foremost. oh i am, but i just think overcoming the other teams and your own manager is just too much.

    I hate Dusty Baker. This is just another game he will chalk up to bad luck, where just having a normal manager probably gets you a win. lost 2 out of 3 at home to a giants team without alou, bonds, or durham. oh yeah we are a playoff team.

    Couldn't make it. It took a real bad hop. get in front of it instead of trying to play it off your side then. Seriously. :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: He was holding the runner at first. When the pitch flies his momentum carries him toward 2nd base. He couldn't get back to get behind it. Plus it took a hop right off the grass. yeah i had a brain fart and forgot he was holding a runner on. I just expect derrek to catch everything at this point.

    I wouldn't read too much into that. Those quotes seem like Dusty's normal compliments to a vet who filled in and doesn't want him to feel like his contributions aren't appreciated. God I hope your right, otherwise I think Hendry has to step in.

He couldn't do that, becuase he had to play away from the bag after holding the runner to first. Plus that ball was hit hard that he never had a chance to play it properly. true i guess he was holding a guy on.

    Uhh.... .265/.285/.377. Not picking on you, because I have recently read multiple articles stating, that Neifi has been "great" for us this year. I'm confused how the above line is anything more than atrocious, especially for a team in the wild-card hunt. You would think that teams in our position would be the most likely to try and ride the hot hand, and not stick to guys like Perez. He's a shortstop. He's our backup shortstop. He has a lot of rbis and a pretty fair BA for a SS - he's not Babe Ruth however. and yet dusty wants to continue to play him over nomar when he returns.

Like in 03 when we are up 8-0 in the playoffs and we let a 22 year old Mark Prior throw 125 pitches. Dusty doesn't give a rats behind. That's your opinion. Perhaps if Dusty had a reliable bullpen he would use it regularly instead of allowing his starters to go deeper than some.. Zambrano has not been misused. Now back to the game. was it my opinion that had Z throwing over 140 pitches against the phillies in a game in April? Z has been abused big time.

    nah then they will split the cubs vote and pujols will get it. if some others cool off on their hitting, and aramis and lee continue... wouldn't it be cool if lee got the triple crown, and aramis got second in all categories? hmmmm... what would that be called? the playoffs
