    Dear God, We are so sorry as Cubs fans for whatever we did to anger you. Can we please have the real Mark Prior and Kerry Wood back, not these two guys that we have had on the team for the last two years. You don't have to let us win it all. Just let us be healthy for an entire year. Please.

    Was it me or did a Cardinals fan state that career minor leaguer John Rodriguez had success before so was thus predictable that he put up ops? Tony Womack has one year rejuvenation. Chris Carpenter becomes Cy Young. Yep seems about par for the course. Say when do you think Bo Hart will ever make it back up to the big leagues?

    ESPN has the matchups as Santos vs. Marshall Duke vs. Guzman Oh well we gotta rebound and sweep that set.

    Don't forget the fact that Pierre has been crappy, Ramirez has been slumping mightily, KoJock has only recently started playing like a major leaguer, and since Ronny moved to the 2 hole we have a black hole in the bottom two parts of the order. Hence, the importance of a good bullpen. I still think we need to make a move to upgrade in the outfield. Even if it means trading away either wood or prior. I know they couldbe great again, butI just don't ever see it happening for us again and I like what I have seen out of our new young arms.

    When you say "Zamnbrano(sic) has been crap all year" and "Being the ace also means you don't melt down just about every game", you're going to get called out on it, because Z hasn't been crap all year nor has he melted down just about every game. There's a very real difference between poor performance and inconsistent performance. Say Z hasn't pitched like an "ace"(which is unnecessarily arbitrary anyway, but I digress), fine, but when you exaggerate further upon that to paint him as someone who hasn't done a positive thing all year when he clearly has people are going to catch you. What exactly has Z done that's been positive this year? He's O for the season with a ballooning ERA and WHIP. He broke his bat over his knee.

    One month in we are over .500 without a win from Z, Prior, or Wood. I would have never guessed that possible.

    We seriously need to do something to address our woeful offense. We have no help really coming from the minors outside of Pie either.

    Similar numbers, but Billingsley is 5 years younger and has much better stuff and more plus-pitches. Yeah I know the 2 arent really compareable Im just venting. Billingsley is going to be very good probably projects as a number 1 or 2 starter, I think Hill is going to be more like a number 4 guy. That will work as Rusch projects as a number 16 pitcher, as in he shouldn't be on the team.

Ah hell, just trade the whole team. :lol: I am thinking we could trade the entire team for the Royals. :D Next weekend I am going to Wichita to watch Alex Gordon, I hope he is still there. I would think so. I doubt Gordon is going anywhere soon, except maybe a September call up. I would think (depending how he does in Wichita) that he might go to Omaha sometime during the Summer. Just my guess though. I would hope, but he is probably the bets player in the entire organization at this moment. I just hope they keep him and Butler together there this year.
