  1. i am sure anaheim loves watchign the younger weaver rocking all cardinal gear. although they seem to give them a lot of their good players, so maybe they don't care.
  2. Next year can't get any worse. I know we cannot think of anything worse, but something will happen to make it worse. I guess they could repeat. But, we would have to have a '69 style collapse to them before that happens. Jeff Weaver :wall:
  3. Next year can't get any worse.
  4. Put in Neifi, he is a Cardinal killer. He'll save you.
  5. Castillos baserunning blunder ended Game 3...thats about all I can think of Not even close, Detroit has gift wrapped this thing. 8 unearned runs That's why Jim will get us more guys who can catch the ball.
  6. why a seeing-eye flare, of course he might have more hits this postseason than he did in any month this year. actually you're not far off... Molina had 21 hits in June; otherwise his 17 hits in the postseason are more than in any month this season. By the way, in June he hit .284 and in every other month he hit .224 or worse. Why can't this just once happen to us? Why couldn't Damian Miller hit .600 for us vs Florida?
  7. "Hey, I was still better than Prior."

  9. How does Babe Molina get on base this inning?
  10. no, weaver was on a one-year contract w/the Angels this year. Besides, I think if you release a guy, you're on the hook for his contract and he can sign for whatever he wants with another team. Thanks. I was worried they would get Weaver for league minimum for the next 3 years and have a guy with about a 4.00 era. (i must thought he and ortiz were in the same boat). would of been a good deal for them. Not we just gotta get the birds to bite the bait and sign weaver to nice hefty contract  Why would they do that when they can just pick up some other piece of crap for cheap? seriously. guys like Bruce Chen, Joel Pineiro and Shawn Estes are probably available. Since the Cards have the miracle worker in their dugout, there's no reason to spend any money on pitching. Wouldn't that just take the cake? sigh, sadly I do know this. I am waiting for Prior to get healthy once he signs with them.
  11. This is done, even if they take the lead again they will find a way to blow it.

  14. Someone else will find this out next year when they give Suppan a big deal. Well yeah, I'm just saying that it seems more cost-efficient to pay one guy big bucks than to pay a lot of pitchers big bucks. I agree, plus I think a lot of our young guys will be fine.

  16. Castillos baserunning blunder ended Game 3...thats about all I can think of of course, the Marlins' good hitters didn't start going 0-for-the-series and their pitchers didn't throw the ball away every game. Love how McCarver and Buck get done saying that the drop in RF was Edmonds' fault, and now McCarver says they have to sub for him defensively right away because they can't take any more chances with him out there. The fact that fox has them on this series and not Brennamen and Piniella is a joke. These guys are freaking cheering for the cardinals. Of course, it was fun in 2004 to watch them root for the Cardinals and then get disheartened as the Red Sox thoroughly outclassed their beloved Redbirds. go to hell weaver Ah the Cardinals were just exhausted, the two clowns said so earlier. You know they played a 400 game season that year and the Red Sox got a bye to the World Series.

  19. ha finally a cardinal mistake. how will detroit mess this up?
  20. Based on the last 100 years, expect the Cobs to go undefeated in 2007. fixed
  21. God hates Cub fans.
  22. This pretty much closes up the four years from hell.
