  1. Right, plus Sampson has a track record of having his teams play better in the postseason than they did in the regular season. Oh wait.... Is that the best you have? I didn't predict anything. Just mentioned that its foolish to saw how IU will do 2 months from now based on one game in the mid January. I honestly think you will win one game in the tournament. One. Oh and before you go there we won't make any tournament. None.
  2. from what i've seen of them and the other teams you've mentioned, i would have to agree. I don't think Indiana is top four in the Atlantic 10. No, I am not joking. Dayton is good, poor Trent Meachem. He has to be kicking himself for leaving them.

  4. Ha I missed that, but yea Calvin did play pretty well. Again if U of I makes free throws we win this game. Eh, we should have gotten a better look anyways. McCamey or Meachum has to shoot the three at the end. Brian Randle is a waste.
  5. Did anyone see when Brock called Gordon a female dog? Lol. Calvin played pretty well today.
  6. I think he went too far to shake Kelvin's hand. Again, ignore Sampson if you want. Is it asking too much to give a half-hearted walk through the rest of the line? If he is the bastion of ethics, then be the bigger man and act like it. I think, think he always only shakes the coaches hand though. I could be wrong.
  7. you gotta admit that brock got hacked there at the end...what a joke. I've been watching Big Ten basketball for 20 years. I know our refs suck...it's just a fact of life. they suck even more in bloomington. I dont know which was better the non intentional foul while getting bitch slapped in the open court, or the phantom call on Meachem when IU missed the layup on the break. That call on Meachem was a phantom call, but that one worked to the benefit of Illinois. Gordon tipped the ball in but that was waved off. Gordon then made 1 of 2 at the line. Meh, if I remember right the other Illini defender down there stopped when he heard the whistle, so without the whistle who knows what happens. My point still remains about the absolute joke of officiating in the Big Ten. I am 100% with you my man. Just quit acting like this only happens in Bloomington. It happens in East Lansing, Columbus, Madison, etc. and Iowa City. Just ask MSU last night.
  8. I think he went too far to shake Kelvin's hand.
  9. He pissed off Weber, thus no time in the second half. I think once he gains some weight Tisdale could be a pretty damn good center. Right now he plays good D when hes not getting whistled for a foul, and he showed some pretty good touch on the offensive side. Honestly, I liked what I seen from the Illini today for the most part. If we could hit free throws, this season wouldnt be looking as bad. I hate what I see. Why the hell wasn't Tisdale playing at all in the second half? Brian Randle awesome three there at the end, just awesome. Great look. Oh and for as good as the offense looked today with DMac running it, don't worry Chester will be back to gobble up 38 minutes next game. Bruce Weber needs to go. Especially after shaking that clown's hand.

  11. Does any organization get more for crap in trades than the Cardinals? Scott Rolen is terrible. We can't give away Jacque Jones for two years, let alone for a guy who has Glaus' potential.

You guys are very pedestrian.
  14. So the fighting OJs and Beasleys both aren't very good.
  15. watching Illinois on HD is like trying to polish a turd. I am glad I didn't bet the spread though. That oop at the end would have pissed me off.
  16. How in the hell did Illinois beat them? And by beat them, I mean by blowing them out. Add to that we were playing an up tempo style then that fits our team better. That combined with the fact it was their first game, and it was in Maui, while we had played before against Hawaii adds up to a blow out. It is sad we aren't trying to play at that frenetic of a pace anymore. I think had we won the game we had against Arizona this year would have went a lot differently.
  17. Just because a guy does well at scoring and rebounding doesn't mean that he will be a pro. Lavell Blanchard from MU always did really well in those two categories and never played in the NBA.
  18. i wouldn't say that they'll both be drafted. one mock draft i saw (just the first one i found on google) has claxton in the second round and cornley undrafted. nba draft is only two rounds, and that includes four classes of college players along with foreign players. i do think that they'll both get invited to camps at the very least. neither guy is gonna be a real good scorer, but if they dedicate themselves to rebounding and defense, they can make a niche for themselves in the league. cornley's negative is his height (he's a forward and only 6'5") but he does have a wide body. Cornley is a less talented Wayne Simien. How many pro games has Wayne Simien played in? 51...what's your point? That Cornely will not be an NBA player.

  20. So therefore, beckpeddaled :D Ok Im done i think Penn State just got another offensive rebound I think Illinois just got another star recruit for 09-10 hope you're patient and isn't Bruce Weber the worst recruiter in history? I think I read that somewhere He woke up, and is a Penn State basketball fan really talking about recruiting? Who is Penn States biggest recruit in basketball, John Amechi? Lol i'm just talking about the thread that either you or your Illini Nation bretheren continuously post in. btw, how many future NBA players are on the Illini right now? I count two on PSU Well if you really think you have two then so do we. DMac and Legion. Two on Penn Sttae. Good one. guess you don't follow big ten basketball much. Jamelle Cornley and Geary Claxton will both be drafted. they may not stick, but they'll be drafted. Cornley has a better chance of sticking You have Jamelle Cornley and Geary Claxton in the NBA, but I don't follow Big Ten basketball. Good one. You are on a roll in this thread. Please keep going.

  23. He's already averaging 16.5/10.2 which are team highs and is shooting almost 60% from the floor. How much do you expect him to improve? Also, doesn't Kansas play up-tempo basketball (maybe not as much) just like North Carolina? So if UNC is susceptible to a team that can control the tempo, which I think they are, isn't Kansas just as susceptible? I mean, this is the same Kansas team that got taken out by UCLA - a team that likes to control the tempo - a year ago and they lost Julian Wright from that team. I'm not sold on Kansas. Sure, they'll probably roll through the Big 12 again but I don't think they're as good as Memphis, UNC (who is better at playing the same style of game), UCLA and maybe Georgetown. EDIT: I'd probably have Memphis and UNC 1-2 in some combination with Kansas behind them. Kansas will go just as far as it did last year. They have a big time achillies heel that will hurt them in the elite eight, their first close game. They shoot free throws at an illini like pace.
  24. I'm taking your word on this since I haven't had a chance to read anything about this yet. I don't know why McCamey and Brock can't be our backcourt, with Alexander, Randle and Pruitt up front. Frazier as a shooting guard is even worse than Frazier running point. I got it from Weber's postgame comments. He said that his coaches threatened to not sho wup if DMac wasn't starting. DMac Meachem Alexander Davis Pruitt Lets see what Davis has in an extended role. I have no problem with that lineup. Except I don't want to see Meachem nor Frazier in it. Meachem and Randle almost make me ashamed to say I'm from Central Illinois. Well, that's ridiculous hyperbole. Brian Randle is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I'll always be a huge fan of his because of the way he carries himself outside the court. Beyond that in the rare instances he does what he should be doing he's an amazing player. I also don't see how you can be mad at Meachem. He wanted to walk on to the hometown school. It isn't his fault Weber did such a poor job recruiting that Trent is forced to start and carry the scoring load.
