  1. Hopefully he keeps falling behind hitters. That will work out well.
  2. I hate Marquis more than all of them.
  3. DLee really doesn't drive the ball much the otherway anymore. Seems like balls he used to drive the otherway are now routine balls hit to the rightfielder.
  4. Is he really that big of a bust? I'm honestly curious, cuz I remember he had a bit of hype a few years back. don't look at who was picked after him. I think I just threw up a little. Colby Rasmus Jacoby Ellsbury Matt Garza Clay Bucholz That's just the first round and supplemental. But, I warned you.

  6. Why are you frustrated? It should be clear by now that Ryan Ludwick is a very good baseball player. Oh yeah, he's a stud. Some comparable players according to baseball reference are Termell Sledge and Mike Diaz. Termell is only 31 this year, we should see if we can sign him. Let's check with his local 7-11 to see if he has the vacation built up to play. He has never had an OBP of over .339, yet this year he is checking in at .372 at age 30. That makes sense.
  7. pujols hits into a double play, but Ludwick comes through with two down. :banghead:
  8. Mat Gamel is not going to be traded for anything short of an ace or young, stud hitter.
  9. Oh I know -- I'm not really the type of Brewer fan that's packing it in for the year just because they lost a series at home to the Cubs. The Brewers still have a favorable schedule compared to the Cubs and Cards, and it looks like the Phils and Mets will spend the rest of the year beating each other up. It's just unfortunate that the Braves decided to give up on their season the second the Cards got into town, allowing them to make up almost all of the ground they lost to the Brewers last week. It's a long year, and the Brewers aren't as bad as they've been playing this series. Besides, it's not like football season is looking too promising in Wisconsin this year, anyway. I might as well stick around to see this season to the end. :D Yeah, the cardinals sure got unlucky hitting the Braves at this point in the season.
  10. Everyone loves him again now, but last year there were a lot on this board who were ready to let him walk. Thankfully Hendry didn't listen to them.
  11. :?: With the way that read, I assume that he is Yadier Molina.
  12. Agreed. The audacity of these Cubs fans, responding on a Cubs message board to comments from Cards fans designed to stir up trouble, the unmitigated gall. It's all in fun though, we just wanna see our teams win, that's all. Carp did look decent tonight, save the first 2 innings. No fun is when one of your crap pitchers die, while high, which is like every 4 years or so.
  13. Agreed. The audacity of these Cubs fans, responding on a Cubs message board to comments from Cards fans designed to stir up trouble, the unmitigated gall. Really he is right though. We are so bad. I mean I think we have the least wins ever as a franchise, I don't think we have ever won a world series, we have no hall of famers, and our stadium sucks so we have to build a new one every 30 years or so. Plus we have a terrible fan following. Why don't they just contract us? I hate us. [expletive] us and our stupid little song that none of our fans, who do not exist, like to sing in other teams' ballparks after wins, which we never get cause we suck too bad.

  15. he'd make the Osbournes look rational Seriously they need to make Oakland hire him and then film a season of he and Beane trying to coexist.
  16. Wait, are you saying we are all blind?
  17. Why doesn't Dusty have his own reality show yet?
  18. Good lord, the cardinals are like genital warts.
  19. ?? Mike Piazza. They may have done that with Mike Hampton too. I would then trade him to the Yankees for Hughes.
  20. Exactly, I'd have been ok with a split in this series... losing to CC and Sheets, but now that we've won those... it almost feels like anything less than a 3-1 series win will almost be a let down. At this point, splitting the series would definitely be a letdown when the pitching matchups are considered. Obviously coming into the series a split probably would have been satisfactory but when you win the first two and have the pitching advantage in the last two games, you have to take at least 3 of 4. Agreed. I would have taken a split too, but winning the Sheets and Sabathia starts changes things quite a bit. We need to sweep now. Put our foots on their throats.
  21. Is Ned Yost alive, maybe time to go talk to him.
  22. Waiting for Coach C to chime in on this. I had thought that Guillen was getting along well with Hillman and the Royals. Guess not. Good thing they brought him in to be around Butler and Gordon to teach them how to be professionals.
  23. The Rock is pissed he cadillaced it arund the bases. Ever seen your boy Braun, Rock?
