  1. It might just save his arm for the end of the year though. That's true, but it could kill our pen in the process.
  2. Whenever you count on Kerry Wood he burns you. Sadly he has his whole career.
  3. The one that makes you hold women hostage in your house?
  4. He thinks eggs are vegetables. Steak too. Umm... Steak Trees.
  5. Doesnt mean you cant eat chocolate cake. Or Kids.
  6. CC gets to the Reds with Dusty there and Cy Young might have some of his records broken.
  7. Cub fans cheered when YoGa got injured in Chicago. yeah like 3 of them, the rest applauded when he got up and walked around. Why in the hell are there Brewer fans posting in this game thread? What can they really add to this discussion?
  8. Yeah he might have the thickest eyebrows in the world.
  9. Why don't we just call McClouth up. He has proved he is ready.
  10. During spring training, Ned Yost(a former catcher himself) and the staff looked at his throwing motion and found something wrong with it. They corrected it very early on and it seems to have given him more strength on this throws. I heard this too.
  11. I'd like to at least wait until the actual games are played before declaring they own us, although obviously this will be a really tough series to win. I'm clinging to the fact that they're coming off losing 2/3 to the Stros -- please let there be hope that they are done with their hot streak. Why would you say this is their World Series? This isn't some ballclub down in the standings that has nothing left to play for. I just meant this is their chance to prove to the world how good they are. Which they are very good. They beat us 3 of 4 or sweep and people will really take notice.
  12. I think they are going to put the hurts on us this series. It is their World Series. That said, if we manage to win the series, it could really damage their psyche.
  13. Come on Ward, you haven't had a big hit yet this year.
  14. It would be one thing if we had a guy worth plugging in to right field. If Edmonds ever needs replaced, I'd rather just platoon Pie and Johnson No, but it would be easier to go get a big corner outfielder bat than it would to get a centerfielder. If we were making a move for a corner guy, I'm sure it would be considered and I'd be all for it, but right now there's really not a point yeah, but I know that Manny and Holliday are both out there to be had. Why not really go for it?

  16. Yeah, screw him. He only went 2-for-5 today. What a bum. No, you're right, he's definitely a $12M outfielder. Way to judge him based on four months in his first year in the majors. Hideki Matusi had a .788 OPS in his first year with the Yankees. He hasn't had one under .850 since. Not to mention that he's in the midst of a slump, which every single player in the majors goes through at some point during the season. What does Hideki Matsui have to do with anything? I agree that Kosuke is in a slump. But there's really no reason for any pitcher to do anything but challenge him in the strike zone with fastballs. He hasn't done anything with them in quite a while. There's slumping and then there's a total of 4 XBH's from your $12m corner outfielder in the month of July. You know there both Japanese.

Although I could say that about most of our lineup at this point. That would be, well, irrational. But that's not really surprising. Says the guy who LOLs after Cubs losses yet called out Cubsgm for doing the samething.
  18. Yeah, screw him. He only went 2-for-5 today. What a bum. How many months has it been since he hit an extra base hit? July 20 he had 2 doubles against Houston. Last homer? He's not a home run hitter so I don't see what the point is in asking this. Fine, then he needs to man up and play centerfield.
