  1. This makes sense though, the two guys we would usually want up in big spots last year are both gone this year. Rammy and DeRo, I just didn't think they would all be this bad.
  2. He was never going to be an everyday player. Miles was brought in to play somewhat regularly. Am I missing something? Aaron Miles, that is how you spell the name right? No, it's just that Miles wouldn't start for some colleges. Planning on him doing any kind of platooning was a farce.
  3. He was never going to be an everyday player. Miles was brought in to play somewhat regularly. Ok, that's an equally awful plan. If we were going to just platoon him we should have kept the guy who crushes lefties that we had.
  4. Mike Fontenot as an everyday player was a bad idea from the get go.
  5. I'm gonna watch the Royals Cards series. We all know how this season is gonna end. I just wish we had some kind of resolution to the ownership situation so Hendry is actually answering to someone.
  6. The amazing thing is how he does it. grounder to the pitcher and a 3 pitch strikeout without coming close to real contact But, something in his game screamed give me 2 years. It also screamed get rid of Mark DeRosa, this guys gonna save us. Thankfully we have Jim Hendry to pull the trigger on these type of moves.
  7. Seriously though, Aaron Miles. Think if we wouldn't have signed him and the cards would have got him?
  8. Unfortunately. I was hoping that Sunday would be the day (where I'm taking my father, father-in-law, and my grandpa) that he would be pitching. Although, Meche is pitching that day, I would still perfer Greinke. But then, Meche is a better option than Davies and Bannister. I just hope that 130+ pitches won't come back and bite Meche, come Sunday. It's just amazing the number of aces they have missed this year.
  9. I wouldn't mind Mullins at 16.
  10. Just realized the Cardinals miss Greinke again. ](*,)
  11. Eff Jim Hendry. Wait, isn't DeRo still right handed? That's not what this team needs.
  12. That's his final line. Darn, wish he would get to 5 inning outings, especially when he pitches well through 4 and limits his walks. Is the plan for him still to start?
  13. Yeah, Bruce Miles just said that weather will likely be an issue all week for us. At some point you just start to think it just isn't our year. Mother nature is waiting for Aramis to come back. Heh, I just hope he is able to come back at some point. All those double headers/ no days off could hurt though.

  15. Awesome what are we down like 4 games now? 3. Will be 2.5 or 3.5 by the end of the night. No, I meant games we have to make up.
  16. Awesome what are we down like 4 games now?
  17. He's helping us now isn't he? Freaking Hendry. We have DeRo and we are running away with this division again.
  18. Casey Macghee needs to wake the hell up.
  19. So do I. I can't stand these games against the White Sox. I wish they'd do away with Interleague play. I wish they'd do it similar to the NFL, one division per year, set schedule. None of these stupid "rivalry" series. I also kind of wish both leagues were balanced with 15 teams each, with an interleague series going on at all times. It's just not a fair set up. Our rivalry series is always a lot tougher then the Cardinals one.
  20. Fine day in the NL Central. Reds lost also, this is the most important thing. Brandon Phillips told me they are as good as the '27 Yankees.
  21. And your reasoning behind that is? No one would have beat the Lakers in the Finals with the way they were playing. Not Garnett's Boston team. Not Lebron. Not anyone. Please. Simply put, two tossup games go the other way, and this series is 3-2 Orlando heading back to LA. I imagine as time passes, this playoffs will be looked on as a "dominant" Laker run through the playoffs. Yeah this series was much closer than I thought it was going to be. To imply that the Lakers rolled through this series is just not right. Courtney Lee makes a layup and Howard makes one freethrow the Lakers are in huge trouble.
  22. I wish we would try and do what the White Sox do so well. Identify a former top prospect, like a Brandon Wood, and try and take a chance on him. I would much rather he get at bats than Aaron Miles.
  23. I have to believe they are talking about not playing games during that period of time. With many teams already taking 4 days off for the ASB, it would not be hard for them to take 6 days. But not televising games that are actually played seems like a horrible option. Great. We'll end up with a World Series ending the same week as Thanksgiving. If the Cubs would happen to be in that World Series I would give two poops. In fact I would have something to be thankful for.
