  1. We are dead last in baseball in OPS. It doesn't take much to be better than us right now.
  2. Hey give Hendry his due, we ain't getting swept in the first round this year. He's a true problem solver! What I love is if this sale ever gets done, you know he'll play the whole finally I won't be handcuffed by not having an owner card. He won't come out and say how he wrecked a 97 win team over 3 games.

  4. Good thing it took 6 weeks... And where does Fox go when Aramis comes back? 2B, why the hell not? He can't field, but who cares. We've tried the good fielders no hit thing. It's failed.
  5. He's like Mark Bellhorn without the power.
  6. they know we aren't gonna score again so they are doing some experimenting.
  7. Wood was a ballsy move, letting a high paid closer walk because high paid closers are overrated. But he negates that smart move by trading for another over compensated relief pitcher who gets the "proven closer" tag. If you don't want to waste money on a reliever, good for you, but don't then go right back out and waste money on another reliever. Who is way worse than the one you let walk. Even if you like not bringing Wood back, how do you like not offering him arbitration? Take advantage of the draft system being broken.
  8. Not offering Wood arbitration was a farce.
  9. Font is my biggest disappointment this year. I really thought he was capable of coming in on an everyday basis and putting up a .285 .360 line with 15 HR pop. Same here. :( And really, there was nothing that would lead you believe otherwise before this year. I mean sure he's going to regress from that 906 OPS or whatever he posted last year....but I didn't think this would be what would happen upon him receiving a starting role. Really depressing. Nothing? He hit double digit HR once as a pro and just barely put up those AVG/OBP as a relatively older minor leaguer. His pre-2008 numbers didn't come close to what he did last year and every indication was he was not an everyday player, because he can't hit against LHP. I thought he'd be a little better than he's been, but not much. His numbers are dragged down by a 400 OPS against LHP in more PA than he should really be getting against them. But his .246/.342/.401 line against RHP is not that disappointing from realistic expectations. Last year was a fluke. He's 29 now and he's not getting any better. This. Every move that Hendry made this off season was awful. Every single one.
  10. He is and sadly he has no heat on his seat.
  11. The days we pitch well we don't score, today we are scroing and Lilly has nothing. Awesome season.
  12. I wish we would add a thirdbasemen to get Fontenot back to the bench where he belongs.
  13. We moved a very good player for this bum to play everyday. ](*,)
  14. Thank God, for a second there I thought we had an extra base hit with guys on.
  15. Right, having Michael Jordan involved with the U of I program was an awful thing. I with Jeff would have kept playing, but understand him not wanting to do so.
  16. Now let's hit into some luck. Luckily our stud offseason pick up is up. Odds he hits an extra basehit. -90290%
  17. No, we're not. You're right we're very good. We should all be thanking god Cleveland came to town last week or we would be really awful. Eh, I just think we're an average team right now. We're not "awful", though. Thing is, average doesn't get you into the playoffs either, so what's the difference I guess. True, awful would be better. We might luck into Bryce Harper then.
