  1. 13 games over .500. Our stupid organization is buying into that crap.
  2. Soriano has become a worse hitter than Theriot. That's awesome.
  3. No way, never gonna move the golden boy.
  4. We seem to struggle with Alexi Ramirez.
  5. But, he sang the free part for a good five minutes. WGN news highlighted Carly Patterson. She too was awful.
  6. Congrats to Derrek and his family.
  7. Front page article on Castro today in Baseball America. Question, if he really is a shortstop, why are we exploring the move to 2B to play along side Theriot in the bigs? Theriot isn't a shortstop. The BA article kinda implies we are going to break him in as a 2B in the bigs.
  8. Johan Santana hasn't been nearly as good in the NL either.
  9. yeah, that'll happen hasn't the owner lost like in the ballpark of $700 million the last few years?
  10. I'd be for playing him next year with Theriot at 2b. You better hope to heck that Soriano and Soto have significant reboud seasons because that middle infield would be as bad or less productive than this years. I think both will.
  11. Lee only had 107 rbis in '05. Nice work Dusty.
  12. I'd be for playing him next year with Theriot at 2b.
  13. Yep, he's actually been injured a couple times because of it.
  14. We might have the best leadoff hitter in the NL. If only someone would tell Lou.
  15. I really just wish this season would end. What a nightmare. This is the biggest Cub season I can remember. Everything that could go wrong, did.
  16. Where did I blame him for the mediocre season the Cubs have had? If you really believed he was just a 'slight disappointment,' you wouldn't be on your soapbox as much as you are concerning Milton. I also love how Milton now has an OPS approaching .820 and people are still bashing it. I guess he needs to have a triple crown type season next year to win the fans back, apparently. lol @ my soapbox And don't you get it? Cubs fans will nover love Milton because he's not white. Yeah, you're right - we hated that Sosa guy not to mention, Dawson and Banks and Billy Williams Chicago itself hates black athletes. Just ask Michael Jordan. How the hell does that not get down?
  17. Where did I blame him for the mediocre season the Cubs have had? You haven't, but the entire fan base seems to be. I pray we don't trade Milton. OK, if you read all my posts from the last few pages you'll see I don't want to trade him either. The only position player I'd love to see dumped is Soriano (assuming we don't have to pay him). We can't move Soriano. That contract is gonna cripple us.
  18. Where did I blame him for the mediocre season the Cubs have had? You haven't, but the entire fan base seems to be. I pray we don't trade Milton.
  19. :banghead: Oooh! Call me an idiot and post obscure stats to show that he's just a slight disappointment instead of a major flop that a lot of people think he is. That'll show me. Yeah like OPS and OPS+, you know the real obscure ones. :rotfl: I'm supposed to be giddy about a .819 OPS? In the scope of things on this team, I'm sure Milton .819 OPS is why we are in the mess we are in. So he's had a bad year, yet his OPS is way above league average. What do you think he does next year, when he has a much better year? I sure hope we find out and its for us.
  20. This offseason is gonna suck. We are gonna give away Soto and Bradley. :banghead: And then the majority of our fans are going to be wondering why we did that when they both have rebound years next year. Yep. That's why I hope we get a GM with a brain this offseason.
