  1. Same chance as Ben Wallace making the HOF. Come on dawg. Its an honest question. I honestly didn't know that. Without looking too deeply into things, if we were projected for 72 wins and Baez put up a 12 WAR season, we'd likely be an 85-86 win team once you add another win or 2 for good Castro over Barney/Bonifacio. So probably, cause at that point you'd have to think they would buy at the deadline and they'd be adding Bryant.
  2. Has he always been this bad on the bases?
  3. Is this a bigger shock than McDermott leaving Iowa State for Creighton?
  4. I think he sees the writing on the wall at Mizzou. Not much returning and he might already be on the hot seat. Got while the getting was good.
  5. Glad to hear it. It was also the best decision for himself. I don't know what next year's class looks like, but I have to think he stands out better next year compared to this year. Next year has three top centers. I think staying another year is the difference between the late 1st round as opposed to the mid to late 2nd round this year. He's not going to be a lottery pick unless he really improves. He should turn into a useful NBA player though. I agree he is smart to stay.

  7. Goodman suggested they'd be in on LA Tech, Winthrop, Dayton(Archie Miller), and yes, Painter again. Ben Howland might be a possibility, I dunno. Is Marshall at all an option? You have a ton of money. The Miller hire would be a good one, I really like that coaching tree.
  8. Who does Mizzou target this late in the game?
  9. Man I don't want Haith to leave Mizzou.
  10. Chauncey Billups, maybe? there aren't really any good white comps either, though; he led the B1G in 3pt% (by a ton), free throw attempts, and had a strong assist rate...it's a unique skillset I want to go with Alec Burks.
  11. I just hope there is twenty homers a year in there somewhere.
  12. Probably so, but they are still elite college talents. Is everyone from that class going to look at Poythress and decide to take off? I'm unsure about the Harrison twins as well as Johnson but it's a lock Young, Randle, and WCS are gone. Unfortunately the 15 draft is likely much weaker. A guy that works under me was WCS trainer in high school, still texts with him. He says WCS isn't for sure going pro as he hasn't finished school yet. FWLIW.
  13. So is UCONN a blue blood now? They have more tourney titles than Kansas, but not the longevity. They might be now.
  14. Getting nine McDonald's All-Americans to the championship game isn't something that can be done by mortals. Considering the situation with how far they've come in this past month, I stand by that. I'm well aware this on paper was one of the best classes of all-time and how disappointing they were up until March as well as how they bad they were in '12-'13, but for whatever reason they've changed their style and had to go thru the toughest bracket to get to the title game. People want to complain about how shady he is, he is more honest about what elite college athletics is about than Coach K, Self, et. ever will be. Coach K wants to give verbal BJs about how great Duke is academically (which it is) and how great the college experience is while recruiting players like Irving, Parker, Rivers, etc., just be honest and tell what Duke basketball stands for (NBA basketball factory where elite players are there b/c they have to get thru one year of college) and not pure BS. I agree, Cal is the most honest of the group. He is what he is and honestly, I doubt he is at all cheating now. He's the cool place to be. When they win tonight, assuming they win, it is only going to get worse.
  15. Best coach in America. People say he's just a recruiter, but he's done a heck of a job with this team. I know. Hell the past four years he's what? Final Four, Champ, NIT, Final Four plus? I hate him, but he's a great coach.
  16. Best coach in America.
  17. the cubs lost game 5 of that series. the last playoff win was game 4. the playoff losing streak is nine games. Don't feed his misery boner.
  18. Well I tried to miss a lot of last year.
  19. Man, watching Starlin now is pretty depressing.
  20. Why is it 21 hours out of the day I understand why Javy isn't here, but the other 3 hours during the game I want to be watching him?
  21. eh, giving up an out isn't cool Except in certain situations...like the ones he mentioned i still don't think bunting increases the odds of scoring a single run depends on a lot of things. i obviously wouldn't advocate doing it with good hitters. That shouldn't be a huge issue on this team.
  22. Noah is so awesome.
  23. Man, I really like Embiid more than Wiggins. Maybe I just expected too much from Wiggins.
