    Could have secured an early commitment. I am not sure it would have mattered, but we have been pretty successful offering kids early in the state.

    I mean it's hard to knock a kid for going to the #1 team and possibly playing on a national champion next year but good luck getting consistent minutes. Decent chance he gets recruited over in '15 and/or '16 also. I can't see him finishing his career in Lexington. I think you may be underestimating how good Ullis is. God, you are SOOOO NOT IlliniNutt. I know he's really good, I wish Groce would have offered right away. Hope he doesn't make the same mistake with Pipkins, but that said he's so small and cal kills it in recruiting.

    That would be funnier if we didn't have a less than great outlook ourselves. I think our outlook is pretty solid. I like Leron Black a lot, and the '15 class is looking pretty solid with a chance to be special.

    The problem is that even if almost all of them succeed, you are still short a lot of pitching, which is why any injury to a pitching prospect would be especially upsetting. We have no margin for error there. Seems to me the starting pitching has been ok the past couple of years and had we had any kind of offense we'd be a lot more competitive. That while not spending any real money on pitching. I think if we develop decent hitters we will be fine. But, I am probably wrong.

    Kevin Towers. This probably will be his last chance as a GM, right? That would make me sad. Remember when he gave us stuff that had a chance to make the majors for Tony Campana? He tore down a pretty decent team in no time, that's with lucking into Paul Goldschmidt turning into a star. I really hope we can fleece him one more time before Arizona gets rid of him.

    The royals are very, very high on Mondesi. I doubt you can get him in a package for shark. Their pitching is a strength.

    Why would anyone want Starling? I'm not super familiar with their system I just figured he's a lottery ticket as a throw in.
