  1. Weber's an idiot. I would have probably played Semrau some against a team who only tried to pound the ball down low all night as well.
  2. Yeah he's been awesome.
  3. Davis got packed by a 6'4" guard. Embarassing.
  4. DMac is playing really well on offense. It's reminding me of what Turner did to us in their near comeback last year. Just constant high screen and drive at will. I am starting to think he might play in the NBA. He's improved a bunch.
  5. DMac is playing really well on offense.
  6. Nice D Tisdale. Way to run away from the guy under the hoop.
  7. Tisdale and Davis are the main reason we are getting beat. Guard someone.
  8. UMass and Memphis. He was coach at UMass several years ago when they made the Final Four (I believe that was the year UK won the national championship under Pitino). Let's be more specific here. I'm pretty sure it's every school he's ever coached at and left. Both schools vacated final fours, but I don't think either one was placed on probation.
  9. I like that they are taking their lumps though by playing good teams on the road. Should help them out down the way.
  10. Remind me, which school did Cal leave on probation?
  11. What? This division still stinks if Holliday signs with the Cardinals. It's not like they become world beaters signing back a guy who hit out of his mind in a relatively small span of time and will not repeat such a performance over the course of a season. Holliday is good, but come on. Jim's not done either. I am sure there is one more devastating move he has in store for us. The clown should have been fired three years ago.
  12. I didn't say Self did pay him money, I am just saying I wouldn't have felt comfortable had Weber beat out Cal for his services. Obviously there was some stuff that would make KU more appealing to Henry, but you said we would have creamed ourselves over a Henry visit. I actually would have been worried about what Weber was doing. The only one who I think got paid was Collins.
  13. This is way better than keeping Milton Bradley. Marlon won't make a peep and will get along with everyone as he's hitting .240 and opsing .720 ](*,)
  14. Henry's a great player, but anytime you go head to head with Cal for a kid and come out on top, I would kinda be a bit worried. Maybe Self was on the level with recruiting him, but I still would be worried had we beaten out Cal for a kid. As for the 8th grader thing, we have to do that to compete. It's weird and I don't like it, but understand why Weber has to do it. Why is Self though?
  15. Yeah, Roy pretty much set his team up to be totally reamed for the rest of the season. A lot of us thought Roy was a dbag a few years before he switched schools though. The ole Aw Shucks thing always seemed to good to be true.
  16. Incredible. I'm all for that breakdown. All for it.
  17. Organizations win championships, not players. Good call Jerrys, Good call.
  18. Nova had an upset or two coming. They really haven't looked all that impressive. They shoot way too many threes. They seem to be turning into a better version of Duke.
  19. He beat Kansas at home for the first time since any of us were born. That's something.
  20. Frank Martin is an incompetent boob. Real nice win though. I still don't get your basis for this opinion. What has he done that makes you think that. I love him. Hell of a coach, gets everything he can out of his players. He's done a pretty good job at KState in my opinion.
  21. i.e. Yes Uconn, Tenn, and Rutgers make a profit.
  22. Might want to do research on what sports actually turn a profit. Football would be at the bottom of the list. They cost millions for 90% of the schools and only the top 35-50 actually make money each year. Women's basketball, after men's basketball, averages the most profit for a large majority of schools. I wrote a big story on this topic for our student paper and FOI'ed a lot of documents detailing what was spent and what was earned. I'd love to see your facts on this, care to share your references?
  23. Iowa still wouldn't win their division in basketball this year.
  24. Dangit. You've got me kinda hard with that SSR.
