  1. We need to keep targeting kids on teams with idiot gms. Who does Arizona have that we could get for a reliever?
  2. I really wish we could Texas to give us Profar for him.
  3. No, you aren't. Soler FTW. I don't know why people act like they're inter changeable. Cespedes should be in the big leagues sometime in 2012 if not opening day and Solar would be coming up with guys like Wells, Golden, Baez, Maples, Vogelsbach et. al. I say get em both. We have the money. Because I think Cespedes has flop written all over him. I'd rather save the money and spend it on a bunch of bonus babies this summer.
  4. Man if the nail this Garza trade, there is gonna be a lot to be excited about. This isn't our parents cubs. That's for sure.
  5. I'd love to go get Solar now, I'm probably the only one who is very meh on the Cepedes.
  6. Yeah, having a star rapist is old hat for you Iowa fans. You're hardened. Starlin wont be charged just like when that happened. Because that's all that matters, amirite? Good god is Starlin gonna steal some kids cellphone to text this girl over and over and over again too? Then publicly state he's no Mandingo, no Starlin, no!!!
  7. yeah i'm sure a major league organization is going to give hush money to a possible rape victim. sounds like a solid p.r. move. Hush money would suggest that it would have been given to her before the reports had actually come out. cash settlements are to avoid dragging a case to court when there's a good chance that there won't be a resolution. It's all a part of this wonderful land we call corporate america, and sports franchises don't react much differently when their best and brightest get themselves into trouble. Please stop. Don't stop him, he's like a bad SVU episode.
  8. That time of the month and their cycles have synced up finally. Pretty much. I assumed it was like Oz and LeBron is his Beacher. Old Vern didnt want his prag playing without him. they've stitched pockets in Wade's shorts just for that reason Amazing. DWade needs to let Bronnie shave his head though.

  10. Why were LeBron and DWade both out?
  11. Still a big deal to lose a scholly for a year. This isn't football.
  12. He decommitted basically on signing day after repeatedly telling everyone that he was staying, preventing Illinois from having a chance to replace his decommit. Thus the irony in being upset about someone telling him he was staying and then turning around and trading him. And then he went and said Illinois fans were sending him death threats, and when pressed on the threats, told the reporter that they were death threats in the manner that they wanted him to fail at basketball. The worst kind of death threat is the I hope you fail at basketball ones.
  13. Butt hurt, kind of ironic coming from a Penn St. fan.
  14. hey if either of them has a hot april it will give you another late 20ish player to crush on. And if either of them make it out of the minors it will give you another major league player to bitch about. Because they suck?
  15. Unreal. He still doesn't get what he did was wrong. But, I can see why. His parents and family are disgusting people.
  16. Yes, that's correct IDKWTI, karma is in fact a bitch. Did the clips GM call Eric and tell him everything is alright, goodnight?
  17. Yes he is, he's also from Chicago. Please give him the same chance that Chester Frazier got. It would behoove Weber to give the Chicago kids the same chances he gives the less talent out of state kids. My hope is that the Northwestern game showed that gimpy Maniscalco doesn't need to be on the court as anything but a role player, and that he'll turn the reins over to Abrams. My concern is that he'll see we only won by 1. Hopefully Abrams playing 30 minutes of turnover-less ball will push him towards the hope side. He reminds me in some ways of Deron as a frosh. I hope he is given the chance to develop like Deron was. No reason for him not to.
  18. Then you're doing something wrong. yeah, we hired bruce instead of thad when we had the chance. Yep anyone with a clue can see that. We hired a Todd Lickliter, ours just was given a Ferrari to use at first. Thus he's still here.
  19. Yeah, but from what I've read Henry kills it at practice. Scores at will, we get in games and can't score. Then he looks and sees what Ryan Boatright is doing at UCONN, he was better than him in high school. Hung 40 on him. The whole thing is a mess. Somehow we need to get better at communicating with our players. No, we need an offense with some imagination and creativity. I love the motion, but you have to add wrinkles to it here and there or it doesn't work year after year. And you have to recruit guys who can run it. Having no actual point guard right now just kills their offensive capabilities. Abrams is a point guard. I'm just worried that this concern about having a true point guard is going to lead to Orris getting like 15 minutes/game next year, at which point I wouldn't blame anyone for transferring. Yes he is, he's also from Chicago. Please give him the same chance that Chester Frazier got. It would behoove Weber to give the Chicago kids the same chances he gives the less talent out of state kids.
  20. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-spears_eric_gordon_chris_kaman_clippers_nba_010412 Hahaha bwhahahahaha

  22. WTF http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/colleges/post/_/id/4978/time-finally-comes-for-illinis-henry Sounds like he's better now, but the thought was in his mind as well. I wonder what Mike Shaw thought about sitting all game yesterday?
  23. According to ESPN Mychael Henry is still thinking about transferring over playing time.
  24. I don't think so. Looked it up, he was in for ~1:30. Not complaining about it, Leonard showed up for the most part in the 2nd half, and I don't think the 2 of them on the court together would work against Northwestern He looked good in the first half. That was nice to see. Yeah, thus far he hasn't been nearly the project people were expecting Nope, I love what we did with minutes today. The one exception I'd make is giving Griffeys minutes to Shaw.
