Well that sucks that they are. I am not ok with it, but I just am being realistic. The school hasn't made it a priority. As such, this is what we get. We should have offered so much money that Smart or Stevens couldn't have said no. This time we should do the same with Archie Miller, although I am afraid his relationship with Groce might make that a nonstarter. this might seem far-fetched, but what about Tom Thibodeau? he's a hard worker, a complete dictator, defensive guru. Is he married to the NBA? He's the type of coach that would fit well at the college level, where he would have complete oversight of the program, no one messing with him to play this guy or that guy, and his grinding of players into the ground actually has a point. I doubt Thibs would want to take the step back into the college game from the highest level. I also wonder if he has the personality that could recruit, although I would think he could in Chicago. I'd like that kind of outside the box thinking. But, I am betting he has an NBA job sooner than later.
