  1. that show was weird. I could never figure out where they held it. Some stadium with 15 foot ivy covered walls and houses behind them I'm pretty sure those were all filmed at Wrigley Field....but the one in Los Angeles.
  2. That really stinks that Bob Shepherd isn't doing the lineups. That's the one thing about Yankee Stadium that actually is pretty cool.
  3. I've seen three games there, and while I respected the history of it all....it's DEFINITELY overrated as a Stadium.
  4. I just got all those stats based off their 162 game averages on BR.
  5. Ernie Banks with Fukudome and his baby and his other baby!! Awesome! Fuku's wife is hot.
  6. I saw the first commercial for it during the HR Derby, supposed to start Janurary 1, 2009. Here's the best article I could find about it: http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/58507 I'll probably watch that channel A TON. Especially if they show a lot of historical games from the 50's or 60's. Stuff like that.

  8. Sorry to rehash this old argument, but how come people think Ted Williams would succeed in today's game, but Babe Ruth would wet his pants at the first Kerry Wood fastball? Either both would succeed, or both would fail. I didn't know there were people who thought like that. Usually the thought process is "that guy's picture is in black & white, so he'd poop himself if he saw an 80mph pitch" or something else moronic like that. Who would think that Williams would succeed but Babe wouldn't?
  9. Luis Tiant: http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/2402/tiantgifuz7.gif or Dizzy Dean: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/dizpitch-1.gif
  10. Felix Pie is 23. Ya ok. I guess I just had a mental block. My brain didn't want to think about Billy and Ronny in the same sentence as Pie.
  11. It's incredible to think that in that picture Ronny is only 22 and Billy is 24. We haven't had a single position player come to bat all season that is as young as either of them were at that time.
  12. Nevermind, I just reinstalled firefox and it's working again.
  13. I found these two beautiful photographs: Teddy Ballgame from above: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/williams.jpg 1962 Cubs in Dugout. l to r, Banks, Williams, Altman, Santo, ?, ?, Dick Ellsworth(?), Glen Hobbie, Andre Rodgers, ?, Don Cardwell(?) http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/cubbies.jpg
  14. Pics plz. It was a near upskirt. When she was sitting behind Michael Young. Could see up to mid thigh. I'll take that. at what point in the footage? It was like halfway through the first round. She was sitting on the ground...it was hot.
  15. I don't think so. A little while back they had a mini-home run derby for those guys before a Rockies game that I was at. They were hitting them far, probably like 450, but nothing close to what Hamilton was doing.
  16. this is stupid, just play the rest of the competition. Oh, and next year...I want aluminum bats.
  17. What the hell is Joe talking about?? Time for another posting of....
  18. Braun the best Jewish hitter since Hammerin' Hank?
  19. "Polish sausage.....Cubs....Cubs...." http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2008-07/41010977.jpg
  20. Pics plz. It was a near upskirt. When she was sitting behind Michael Young. Could see up to mid thigh.
  21. Did anyone else catch the near upskirt from Erin Andrews earlier?
  22. There were many, MANY scouts who said that out of high school, he was the best baseball talent they'd ever seen.
  23. Whenever I sign in with firefox, it signs me in, but then immediately signs me out when I go to the forum index or whatever. This problem doesn't occur with Internet Explorer. Anyone know what the heck is going on? I've tried deleting cookies and flushing out the browsing history and all that good stuff, but to no evail.
  24. And they were the two years immediately following his rookie season. His MVP season of 1954 was his first year back. Correct. I think he's easily over 700 HR's if he doesn't miss those seasons.
  25. Great photo Coach! We didn't really have any big time players on that team except for Grover Cleveland Alexander (top row, farthest right) and Gabby Hartnett (top row, third from left) who was just entering his sophomore season that year.
