  3. What did Lane Kiffin ever do to earn these big jobs he has gotten? Family name and that's it?
  4. 7 turnovers so far in 1st half of Florida/Tennessee
  5. http://i.imgur.com/RzCEVPE.jpg
  6. Public ballots should be a thing if for no other reason than to allow us to find out whatever schmucks vote against Maddux so that we can publicly execute them. "but Cobb and Ruth derp derp" = firing squad
  7. So Vlad is a sure fire HOFer, although he probably won't be a first ballot selection. He doesn't have any of the counting stats (2590, 449) but was a scandal free (IIRC), well liked player with an MVP and 9 All Star selections to his name. Helton has a decent case and will probably get in eventually through the Vets Committee. Obviously the Coors Factor will be held against him, as it should (home: .350/.447/.613; away: .289/.389/.475), but he was well respected, scandal free, and was the face of his franchise for over a decade. I think he's a great fit for a Vets Committee selection down the road. Speaking of Helton, I always like the 2000 NL MVP voting: Helton led the league in BA, OBP, SLG, TB, RBI, Hits, and Doubles and was 5th in voting. Not saying he deserved it that year, but that always sticks out as an outlier that someone would lead in all those cats and only get 5th in voting.
  8. People in Florida are the worst
  9. In the FOURTH largest city in the country, mind you. Wow.
  10. So um, surely Bo Pelini is about to be unemployed, right?
  11. no kidding. pretty dumb thing to debate.
  12. If they play man on the 6'5 receiver all game it's going to be a long day for Bama. U said it. Mismatch city.

  14. You're thinking of basketball. No I'm not
  15. Really, really enjoying Olbermann's new show.
  16. Texas v. Ole Miss is going to be a high scoring game, although Texas will be going with their backup QB, Case McCoy, so maybe not. Will be at that game Saturday. Never been to a game there in Austin so pretty excited. Wonder what it is gonna take for Mack Brown to be fired during the season and not after (as he surely will be). Would a loss at home to the Rebels do it? Seems ridiculous that a program like Texas isn't perennially in the NC conversation, especially given the conference they are in.
  17. There's the "Eli-face" Missed it
  18. Starting to think the Rebels can definitely take Texas.
  19. Meathead Matthews

  22. Suh is such a douchebag
  23. Bahahhahahahahaha
  24. Yeah, he has lots and lots of bold numbers on his BR page. Started down my own rabbit hole looking to see the most times a player led the league in BA/OBP/SLG and OPS. Hornsby - 7 Williams - 5 Cobb - 4 Wagner - 4 Lajoie - 2 Musial - 2 Bonds - 2 With one: Foxx Ruth F. Robinson Yaz Gehrig Speaker Brett F. Lynn Helton Mauer Walker Miggy is currently leading in all 4 categories FWIW.
