    That second Baez homer is a routine fly out anywhere but that little park. My high school field was deeper down the lines. Although that first homer was a Hank Aaron special.

    Coghlan's defensive woes are interesting because he was a damn good third baseman in college.

    Yuck. FWIW, if he were in the HOF, the only pitcher with a worse lifetime ERA+ (his was 105) would be Catfish Hunter (104).

    He was in the Top 5 in voting five different times. I just looked it up and Roy Oswalt also has five Top 5 finishes without a win as does Jack Morris. FWIW Zambrano did that three times. Andy Pettite had four Top 5 finishes. In my five minutes of messing around on B-R with all of this, the most Top 5 finishes without a win is Mike Mussina who had six. In my research it looks like Schilling has the most times as a runner up without a win at three times.
