    Week 9

anyone know how my score (ditka's army, da bars) is looking?
  2. Yep, that's what they said on CSN as well.
  3. They talked to Berrian on the post-game, his rib isn't broken, said he fell on them akwardly early on. Looked like he was in pain, said it was a little hard to breathe and talk. CSN guys saying his status for next week is probably doubtful.
  4. Just have to fix the mistakes we made today and move on. Giants barely beat the Texans today, so they'll be ready for us.
  5. The sports world is making me angry...
  6. when's the last time we gave up as much as 31 at home? or overall?
  7. I think he might have been saying offensive pass interference
  8. I loved those great years from Sammy but he just doesn't have it anymore. I hope he stays retired.
  9. i dont see how that could possibly be further away from being enough said. but he put the K really big!!!
  10. Unbelieveable that we're now just 2 points ahead of the worst team in the league, the Coyotes. The season looked quite promising through the first six or so games.
  11. It's almost comical at this point. Philly? Jeez, I thought even the Hawks could beat the Flyers, they way they've been playing. What a mess. 4-7-0 on the year now, and falling. I really thought this year would be different, and it was, for six games anyways.
  12. wow. Anderson's speed there was amazing.
  13. I was telling one of my friends about 2-3 weeks ago about Havlat being all the Hawks had on offense, and if he got hurt they would be in big trouble. She came up to me the other day and said, "I noticed the Hawks have been losing lately, did that guy get hurt or something?" I just nodded. This stinks. Hard to believe how quickly it all collapsed. 7 minutes away from beating Dallas and moving to 5-2, then blowing the lead, losing Havlat, and then Handzus and Khabibulin the next night. Unbelieveable. Hard to blame Tallon or Yawney IMO for this, no team could lose their top 4 players (don't forget Ruutu) and still have much success. Ruutu is supposed to return Monday, BTW.
  14. Ugh, the losses keep coming. Fourth straight dropped tonight, 3-0 to the Ducks on a televised home game for the Hawks. Only 14 shots on net total. This team is really absolutely nothing without Havlat. I mean there were barely any scoring chances at all tonight. It's amazing that one guy makes that kind of a difference, but he does. It's been 7 periods without a goal for the Hawks now. Since they're now saying Havlat will be out possibly until the end of November, I fully expect this team to be at the bottom of the league by December.
  15. Heh. Well, a 5-0 loss last night to drop to 4-5 on the season. It's a shame, because the Hawks/Ducks game on Saturday, a home game, is going to be televised, but the Hawks will likely get blown out against an Anaheim team that is 7-0-2. This team's really on a downward sprial.
  16. This team isn't going to do anything without Havlat and Khabibulin. Getting embarassed tonight, 4-0 Canucks in the 2nd.
  17. The major loss here is Handzus, because he's gone for the whole season and was probably the Hawks' best defensive forward. If they can weather the storm for the 2 weeks Havlat is out and the 1-2 weeks Khabby is out, they might be ok. But I'm not too confident.
  18. Umm, can you believe the luck of the Hawks? First off, they lost 4-3 last night in a poor effort against the Blues to fall to 4-4 on the year. Havlat is out 2-3 weeks with a sprained knee. Now, it's been reported by TSN.ca that Michal Handzus is likely out for the season because of torn ligament in his knee, and Nikolai Khabibulin has a broken finger and will miss at least 2 weeks. Jeez. another bad hockey season in Chicago.
  19. anyone know how my score's looking?
  20. Hmmm, maybe Cullimore is on the way out or scratched for tonight's game? Hawks called up D-man Danny Richmond from the minors with Bochenski.
  21. Hawks recalled Brandon Bochenski today, so it looks like Havlat is at least out for tonight's game.
