  1. This site has it at 11. I must say none of these girls are nearly as good looking as Elin. http://backporch.fanhouse.com/2009/12/08/tiger-woods-mistresses-the-still-growing-cheat-sheet/
  2. I actually really respect Parnevik for being honest. He also was not just match maker Elin. She was his au pair and evidently an au pair is veiwed more or less as family.
  3. Jesper Pernevik is just killing Tiger. http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/postedsports/archive/2009/12/03/jesper-parnevik-goes-further-in-criticism-of-tiger-woods.aspx

  5. If Esquire had all this information before, and didn't report on it, weren't they in on the devil's bargain? If it wasn't worthy news when they knew it to be true, then why is it worthy news now? Too many times "journalists seem to go with this "I knew all about this, and it disgusted me" bit. Journalists are so in bed with the people they cover, afraid of losing a source by reporting anything, that it cracks me up to see them haw hawing at other journalists covering their asses. my thoughts exactly. either run this stuff out there in advance of events and deal with the consequences, or shut up about it altogether. didn't the author report this about Tiger long ago, which is why he was excluded by Tiger's people? Yes see my post at end of page five.
  6. That is pretty strong.

It should be noted that Charles Pierce and Tiger have a little history.
  8. Interesting article by Charles Pierce of Esquire. http://www.esquire.com/the-side/opinion/tiger-woods-accident-updates-legacy-120109

  13. Ronnie woo woo was walking around outside the stadium Saturday before the game at Notre Dame. He was in full Cubs uniform carry around a bears helmet. It was a strange site.

Rooting for Tiger is like going to Vegas and rooting for the house
  15. It wasn't George Brett, it was Tug Mcgraw "Ninety-percent of it I spent on booze and broads. The other ten percent I just wasted." http://www.thebaseballpage.com/players/mcgratu01.php Not George Brett George Best the Soccer player said that. He is #2 on the list.
  16. One my favorite quotes ever from #2 George Best. When asked about his losses
  17. On the Dan Patrick Show yesterday Nolan Ryan compared Bradley to Dick Allen.

That is a bunch of nonsense. That was a great final round. The finish was anti-climactic, but the whole day was riveting. Tiger plays in and out of trees all the time. Guys were coming up with great shots left and right. It wasn't a storybook ending, but it was entertaining. Tiger plays in and out of trees...not off of them. I've never seen him clunk a tree like that. And yes, Phil and Tiger were playing great much of the day till the end, but the leaders played what...even par or higher rounds? Perry and Cabrera were each -1 and Campbell was -3. The end was a three man playoff which was very cool I thought.

I was surprised by how much longer Phil was off the tee. Tiger is ranked 48th in driving distance he has been in or around the top ten his whole career.
  22. Here is a real nice printable bracket it has every teams rpi and strength of schedule along with times of every game and who will be the announcers for every game. http://www.czabe.com/images/2009_NCAA_Basketball_Tournament_GARGANTUBRACKET11X8.pdf
  23. Millen was better than decent, he was one of the better ones around. He's still a very good analyst. The fact that he was a horrible GM really speaks more to the difficulty of that job and how player's knowledge of the game doesn't translate to GM knowledge. Being an analyst takes 1% of the research of a GM so it really shouldn't surprise anyone that someone could be a good analyst and a terrible GM. Steve Phillips has a job because he says dumb things to get a reaction. It would be pretty boring if all they had was smart people agreeing with each other. Maybe more than that in the research department, but your point stands. The real difference is an analyst doesn't need business acumen, negotiating skills, personnel, quick trigger decision making skills. Like us the analyst can stick to the "theory"of the gm job I alway thought Millen was one the smartest guys out there before he took the Detroit job. I am still amazed that he was a total failure. On the other end Bill Walsh was arguably the greatest football mind ever and was a failure at being an analyst.
  24. I included all of that in my post. Although, the luxury boxes was calculated into the average cost of a ticket. Maybe I'm way off on the average cost of a ticket? Clearly, Cubs brass feel like they can afford a $140m salary, so it must workout in the long run. But, I would have to imagine that's at the very top end of what they can afford and still turn a profit. Do not forget what teams are making off MLB.com. I believe each team is getting around 30 million a year and I do not think that number is going anywhere but up. I do not believe teams are getting anywhere close to 30m a year from mlb.com alone. I thought I read that somewhere after searching for it I must have bee mistaken. It loooks like MLB.co revenue was around 380 million last year which is huge but obviously not 30 million per team. This was interesting though. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/2007-12-04-baseball-online_N.htm
