Bret Bielema is a really, really bad game manager. I should have have listened to you guys. He's like Orgeren in a way-good recruiter, great motivator, but not a good Saturday coach. This Arkansas team can't get out of its own way.
Was it me or did the guy on TBS call Austin Jackson, Edwin in the post game interview? I'm pretty sure there was a "Travis" Cahill on TBS after the game as well. During the broadcast the play by play guy said Danny Peralta.
I need over the top bat flips. I need Yadi shouting at Schwarber as he trots around the bases. I need the BFIB raining boos on Castro as he steps to the plate and slaps a double. I need Wacha and Lynn to implode on the mound. Again. I need idiot Card fans trying to rationalize why Piscotty will be better the Bryant. I want the BFIB awkwardly looking for a place to hide their extra chromosome inspired Bartman and billygoat signs as we dong them into resignation.
They should go watch video of the Busch stands during the Ray Lankford/Mark Whiten days and get back to us. This is what I hate most about the BFIB. They're historically the most successful NL franchise, but it's not enough. They have to act like butthurt whiny bitches at the first sign anyone could challenge their "fandom". Or how they glorify McGwire but trash Sammy, as if there's a distinction other than McGwire roided up "the Cardinal Way". Please win Cubs.
Meh; everyone at the Network has been slobbering over Arrieta that he either was chosen or decided to be the one guy who locked on to Cole. He's been doing it for almost a couple of weeks now. So, Plesac is taking the hipster approach then? Sort of like a 22 year old with student loans wearing a Trump trucker hat?
Off work at 4, warm up with a little smoke and a few beers, begin with the Jamesons around the first pitch. Nurse the hangover tomorrow. Only bad thing is I have to watch this in a Red Sox bar.
this isn't football, it's not going to do them any good to get extra pumped up with a "nobody respects us" mentality. I actually hope that the Pirates are overly hyped for this game and ready to swing out of their shoes at the first pitch.
What's more aggravating are the LSU morons down here that wear Theriot Cubs jerseys because he played there, yet they could not care less about the Cubs. I have a special hate for these people.
The Cardinals already have begun to come back to Earth somewhat. Their pixie dust ran low when Molina went down and Martinez went down as he should have with the innings load this season. They were damn lucky to hold onto the division after that incredible start. Plus, Matheny is their manager. All things being equal going foward I like the Cubs' chances. Besides, this Cubs team has much room for growth and improvement.
I'm starting to come around on LSU. If Harris can improve at QB just a little they could be really good. They get FLA and aTm at home and go to Bama and Ole Miss.
I meant that much the way that Bama is good again. I see TCU possibly turning it on and running the table. Since you mentioned it, that situation with Charlie Strong is as bad as I can remember anywhere sans a major scandal.
Thankfully, the Arkansas coaching staff remembered that they have a pretty good O-line and running game tonight, instead of trying to turn Brandon Allen into Tom Brady. I thought after putting the O-Line on the cover of the media guide they might would try to utilize them at some point.
I want no part of Hammel in game 2. NLDS: 1-Lester 2-Hendricks on a short leash 3-Arrieta-normal rest 4-Hammel then Bullpen (unless facing elimination) 5-Lester-6 days rest NLCS: 1-Arrieta on normal rest
This week is about the best case scenario for the Cubs going to the WC. Rest the core, get the bench some ABs, snd set up the rotation. Let STL and Pitt fight until the bitter end.
Are the Saints going to trade for him? Luke, whatever. I get the feeling Brees is going to try to play next week at maybe 75% or so, which is pretty average or worse these days.
