  1. Boogie has a terrible reputation, largely deserved, but he’s smarter than most of the people covering him and his interviews are great.
  2. Gotta admit, fans or no fans, a 50 game season would be pretty intense/fun to watch.
  3. Serious question. Was the television picture quality that shitty 15+ years ago and I’m just spoiled now, or is there some reason these game replays look so bad? I’ve watched a few from the early 2000’s and they look like the moon landing.
  4. But it’s not like those things are inconsequential to the Bulls’ run. It would have been weird if they weren’t discussed, and Scottie had opportunities to speak on each issue. Scottie was my one of my favorite players in the league, but it’s hard to explain your way out of sitting down the end of that playoff game. To his credit, he owned it.
  5. Maybe he hasn't been a problem thus far, but I say give it some time lol. That looks like it was from a year ago while he was still with the Lakers. Living here and keeping up with the Pels pretty closely, that quote from you is the first peep I've head from him. Point being, LaVar doesn't seem like a factor the way he used to be, with Lonzo anyway.
  6. I feel like he's going to end up being a bigger, taller version of Ricky Rubio, unfortunately. Amazing passing ability and court vision, but he won't score enough or be efficient. Also, if you draft LaMelo then you have to deal with his father (LaVar Ball): FWIW, LaVar Ball hasn’t been a story at all since Lonzo came here.
  7. Cap space wasn’t the reason at all. The reason the Saints drafted Ruiz in the 1st round is because they were very unhappy with how Warford played last year. The Athletic quoted Sean Payton as saying “he sucked”. They were ready to move on. That said, Warford wasn’t injured as far as anyone can tell, so he might be a strong candidate to bounce back with another team.
  8. I didn’t mind Tessitore too much, other than this annoying thing he’d do where he would call a nice play like it was the Immaculate Reception.
  9. Part of $94 million in misapprpriated funds found in an audit This was on our local news last night (Kiln, MS is about an hour from here). Supposedly he will face no criminal charges because he did not know the money was from the state fund...or something. He would, however, have to pay the money back. Expect to see Favre doing more Just For Men commercials.
  10. It was funny how Pat Riley's Knicks tried to rough up Jordan the same way the Pistons had, and MJ wound up owning them too. Sending Ewing, Starks, Mason and Oakley home year after year brought me as much joy as the the Piston series. Apparently, the Knicks are coming for Sunday's episodes.
  11. Meh, Tedd Ginn doesn't have the speed or quickness he once had, and his drops have become more and more of a problem in recent years. It says something that WR depth is still an issue in NO yet they didn't even offer him a contract. He's done.
  12. Was there really zero trade value for this guy?
  13. I didn’t see much of him at Michigan, but he sorta sucked at Ole Miss.
  14. . EAST New York Yankees and Mets, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins WEST Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners CENTRAL Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers
  15. 3 more passes than Taysom Hill has completed to Saints in his career. That's a really weird signing. He really isn't of the "don't make mistakes and give us a chance to win" mold that Payton usually likes, ala Mark Brunell, Josh McCown, Chase Daniel or Bridgewater, but there really wasn't a lot out there for the Saints to sign. McCown says he's retired, so it was basically a choice between Winston or Matt Moore. Cam Newton was never, ever going to be in a Saints uniform. Keep in mind that Jameis will be the third QB and hopefully never takes a meaningful snap.

  17. Saints took the Miss State QB in the 7th round. Between letting Teddy walk and not drafting a QB until this late, it’s clear that Taysom Hill is their QB in 2021. Payton said that Saints will have three QBs active on game days so that they can use Taysom more in the offense. The State QB plays pretty much the same way
  18. I love how Payton/Loomis and the Saints filled three need positions with guys who had slipped in the draft, and now are basically taking the next two days off.
  19. Yeah, really good draft so far for Jets and Ravens. Lol Atl.
  20. If you were Miami, would you make a Ditka/Ricky Williams type deal to move up for Burrow? I almost would.
  21. RE Hundley: It really is something that the son of a key Cub from one of the greatest teams in the modern era was being booed at Wrigley mercilessly halfway through his first season in Chicago.
  22. Oh, we're doing a least favorite too? Awesome. Todd Hundley Moises Alou Ryan Theriot Julian Tavarez Neifi Perez Caesar Izturis Jacque Jones Jason Marquis Ryan Dempster (granted, mostly for things post career)
  23. Not one vote for Pedro Strop? I change my answer. He’s got to be in my top ten.
  24. Honorable mention for Carl Edwards Jr? I always loved that guy and really wanted him to be the closer.
