  1. Lackey getting shelled. Even the outs are crushed. That is quite a home field advantage on a day like today in SF.
  2. Looks good to me, although I'd flip Bama and Oregon, and kick Baylor down to 9 or 10. No top 10 team should give up that many points to TCU.
  3. Maybe on Oregon, and I'll maybe grant you ND and Ohio St are in the discussion. I would have Baylor, but not after giving up those many points to TCU. UCLA and Stanford haven't shown me anything to suggest they should be mentioned.
  4. 24, because ND plays FSU next week, and Mississippi has already played Alabama. And since you still haven't really gotten the point, I'll spell it out: eliminating the possibility of a team being good because they struggle, or they "haven't played anybody" (when your definition of "anybody" is apparently simply the SEC West) is sad at best and hilarious at worst. However, that SEC smugness just shines through as soon as some other team is considered good. Your premise is that the SEC West is overrated? Ok. Defending Notre Dame by throwing "smug" out there is good stuff. No, the premise is that other teams outside the SEC might actually be good, but the SEC blinders are so heavy, you can't see that. Oh, and I'm an Illinois fan, you biased fool. Can you not see the hilarity in the statement that FSU beating ND next week (which hasn't happened) is somehow meaningless because ND barely beat UNC, so neither team could be good? Biased fool? Settle down trigger. I was responding to you defending ND's game today. Jesus, I hope you're drunk.
  5. Hard to believe people still blindly make this argument. Hard to believe the SEC nuts still can't fathom the concept of a team not in the SEC actually being good. This is made up. The strength of the SEC this year isn't in a superteam or two like year's past, but in it's solid to great depth. Oklahoma, Mich St or FSU would give any SEC team a run.

  7. Hard to believe people still blindly make this argument. The Hogs are outplaying Bama in every phase, just like we did aTm. If there is a God, he will throw us a bone for once this week.
  8. That was Les Miles-like stupid.
  9. I hear ya. There is every reason to think that Ole Miss will have a letdown and that Kyle Field will be crazy tonight. I still just wonder if aTm really is that good. The start by MS State today makes me think they are and just got ambushed by a better team last week.
  10. I have thought all week that Arkansas will go down by 10+ today, but damn I wish I was in Fayettville tonight. Wearing their 1964 Champ throwbacks. If we can can limit their WR's at all we have a chance. Yes, I realize I am going to have my soul crushed again by Bama.
  11. Wow, the pbp guy on the OU/Texas game just seriously called out Charlie Strong, saying "he himself and his staff also need discipline". I agree, but pretty strongly put for a pbp guy. Texas scored a TD with 4:30 left to pull to 26-31. They didn't have a play ready for the 2 pt conversion and burned a TO after the Whorns looked like a Chinese fire drill. They look horribly undisciplined.
  12. HAHAHAHA!! From the comments section: The Best Klans in Baseball
  13. Ernie, Cal and Ron say hello. I think FOX execs are trolling every baseball fan with their broadcast teams. I thought the TBS team with Anderson and Eck was pretty good.
  14. Ernie, Cal and Ron say hello.
  15. With you on this one. I'm slightly leaning to MS State. Arkansas shows if they are back to being competetive this week vs Bama.
  16. One of my best friends is a Tiger's fan, and you described the scene pretty acurately. He gets loaded and still mumbles about "[expletive] David Eckstein" the way we despise Will Clark. That, and every closer they have brought in has sucked for them yet gone one to be fantastic for another team.
  17. [expletive], if the Saints aren't getting a QB ready for life after Drew Brees then they are in for a real low point. I'm anxious to watch some replays from TV, but he looked awful today. Not only did he give away 14 points off INTs, but he missed 2 sure TDs from underthrows on deep balls. In fact, I can't recall any well thrown deep passes this season, and as a result defenses are eating up the underneath stuff. I'm not saying he should be benched, but he needs to understand that those overachieving throws he used to get away with are no longer possible. Some terrible decisions today.
  18. How do you figure? If anything I thought this weekend helped the chances of there being 2 SEC teams. In any case it's way too early to say.
  19. The SEC East is awful this year. Not one team is better than anyone in the West. Btw, next week's slate isn't too shabby either. Bama at Arkansas Auburn at MS State Ole Miss at A&M Georgia at Mizzou Oregon at UCLA TCU at Baylor USC at Zona And then, LSU at Fla. Take the under.
  20. Agreed. Honestly, I'd prefer any team left in the AL to any team in the NL to win it all.
  21. Probably some of both. LSU needed a Melvin Gordon injury to beat Wisconsin, and Wisconsin isn't that good. LSU is probably the worst team in the West, although still a top 25 team. Worse than Arkansas? I am encouraged by LSU's inability to stop the run, which plays right into our hands. We get Bama next week, so we'll see. Great win by Ole Miss today, but I'm starting to think the best of the West is Auburn and Miss St. One hell of an Egg Bowl this year.
  22. Miami's uniforms look like a Puerto Rican arena league team. I did call it on the Ms schools today, but was dead wrong on LSU. They look bad. Then again, maybe Auburn is just that good.
  23. Congrats OMC. I can't remember cheering more for a team that's not the Hogs.
  24. Say what you want. The SEC has a BAMA boner and they get all the breaks, year after year. It is reminiscent of growing up a Hog fan when we were the only non-Texas school in the SWC.
  25. Really think that Dak Prescott outplays Kenny Hill. Mississippi schools go 2-0 in the SEC today, Tenn beats Florida, and LSU's Harris has a coming out party at QB and they win vs Auburn.
