  1. Purdue won at home against Illinois. Ok, we get it. Purdue also lost at Minnesota. Of course, there is no need for an argument whether Purdue OR Illinois deserved 1 bid, as they are both in.
  2. Bilas, Syracuse plays in the Big East. That is why their schedule is better. Syracuse didn't play a single game outside New York in the non-conference. Xavier won their league. They deserve a bid.
  3. Man, Virginia gets a 4 seed with an RPI of 55. That just seems insane to me. I guess the committee really did ignore VA's non-conference slate.
  4. The committee takes a lot of flack, but I really think they got it right this year. Maybe some ACC teams are a bit higher than I would've thought, but overall a nice bracket.
  5. Really, if you look at Syracuse's profile, it's not that impressive. Very unimpressive non-conference, and would've had a hard time putting them in before Drexel, and Drexel got left out. And Illinois shouldn't have been in because Wisconsin beat them? That doesn't make any sense.
  6. Yep, Stanford in, Drexel out. 64 of 65 teams correct in NSBB bracket. Good work, guys.
  7. If Drexel is that last team, we got them all.
  8. So, 60 of 60 so far...
  9. So, A&M, Memphis, Louisville, Tennessee, Virginia, Xavier, BYU in last bracket.
  10. Wow, 50 out of 50 so far.
  11. Wow, committee love for USC. And Arkansas is in.
  12. See? It ended well for you. That potential elite 8 matchup with Illinois is certainly winnable as well. ;)
  13. Got a feeling Drexel is out. So far, 33 out of 33 teams match our bracket though. :)
  14. Committee likes Gonzaga.
  15. Illinois in. And, as a fan, I LOVE that pod.
  16. ...in the Midwest. There are still 10-12 bubble spots available.
  17. If Purdue is a 9, I don't see how Illinois isn't in. but what gets me is that there were a few bubble teams in with the midwest bracket. Every 9-10-11-12 seed is a bubble team. In the Midwest, there were actually only 3 bubble teams in it, as Winthrop won their conference.
  18. Committee didn't like UNLV as much as we did. Otherwise, it's pretty close to our bracket so far.
  19. Well, if you get the 2 seed with Kansas, it might be just as well if you're out there. Florida as the #1 overall just makes no sense. Yes, they dominated SEC West teams in the conference tournament, and they dominated the SEC overall, but the SEC simply wasn't that good this year.
  20. Committee nonsensical decision #1: Why the heck do you put Florida in the Midwest and Ohio State in the South? There's just no reason to do that.
  21. Starts at 6 EDT, 5 central.
  22. I think that the conference tournaments don't mean as much as the media pundits think they do, and that the #1s are pretty much all set already in the committee. There's so much else to do in the committee that being concerned about the order of the 6 top teams at this point in the game is pointless.
  23. Welcome to watching Illinois basketball. Paint dries faster.
  24. Of course, the reason they haven't beaten anyone in the country is that they play offense like they do.
  25. One thing I do like about this Illini team is they play defense so well, if they ever have a good shooting game they can beat anybody.
