  1. After yesterday's results, here's the new Sagarin predictor top 25: 1. Oregon 2. Boise State 3. Stanford 4. TCU 5. Alabama 6. Ohio State 7. Oklahoma 8. Missouri 9. Virginia Tech 10. Arizona 11. Auburn 12. Arkansas 13. Nebraska 14. Oklahoma State 15. South Carolina 16. Texas A&M 17. LSU 18. Iowa 19. Florida State 20. Arizona State 21. Oregon State 22. USC 23. Wisconsin 24. Miami 25. California Tons of Pac-10 teams that haven't been able to win in conference, but the entire Pac-10 (minus Washington State) did well in non-conference, so playing within themselves have boosted up all the teams' SOS to the stratosphere.
  2. Do we really need to go over this again? I was not aware we went over this before. Well, two quick things then: 1: His ratings are purely based on the numbers that have occurred so far this season, and based purely on that, Miami has been the best (second best scoring margin over a tougher schedule than the Lakers). You may notice Sagarin and SCHOENE's ratings that take scoring margin into effect that Miami is also at the top of the list. 2. They are just barely at the top of the list, with 5 teams overall in a virtual "dead heat" at the top along with the Celtics, Spurs, Hornets and Lakers.
  3. Do we really need to go over this again?
  4. I was going to say, after all the whining about it, the NW-Illinois game had more TDs in the outfield end zone than this Nebraska-A&M have had total.
  5. 318 yards rushing seems like an awful lot. Isn't that an awful lot, even in college?
  6. Don't worry, it is only Sulley's team, after all. Something will come up That didn't take long.
  7. Was that really Illinois' first completed pass?
  8. Making free throws would also be nice.
  9. Cole should never have been dribbling away from the basket on that last possession. Just take the easy basket there.
  10. Illinois couldn't get defensive rebounds, couldn't get enough loose balls, and kept bailing out Texas late in the shot clock for about the last 15 minutes of the game.
  11. So frustrating to watch bail out fouls get called every time Texas runs the offense.
  12. I feel a little better about tonight.
  13. Holy cow that's a lot of words. Yeah, can someone give a tl;dr version? It's a five-act Broadway production, should be hitting a theatre near you in the near future. It's called "Auburn is screwed".
  14. He's right, though. Paul is making an insane amount of shots early on. The challenge is going to start when some of those shots aren't falling, to see if he keeps on chucking.
  15. Don't have a really good feeling about tonight or tomorrow for the Illini. Hoping they don't get swept, really.
  16. Ok, so that doesn't count then?
  17. They won 5 straight on the circus trip just last year.
  18. There is not a huge gap between the Packers and Bears. The Bears beat them when they were healthy. I actually think the Bears are slightly better. A 3 point win at home in a game where both teams were well negative in DVOA is hardly convincing evidence. Objectively the gap is bigger than I'm giving them credit for.
  19. As far as the AFC: 1. Patriots 2. Steelers 3. Ravens 4. Colts 5. Jets -- Gap -- 6. Titans 7. Chargers 8. Raiders 9. Chiefs -- Gap -- 10. Jaguars 11. Browns 12. Texans 13. Dolphins 14. Broncos -- Gap -- 15. Bengals 16. Bills
  20. My totally subjective NFC rankings through the latest week of games: 1. Atlanta 2. NY Giants 3. New Orleans 4. Philly 5. Green Bay -- Huge Gap -- 6. Bucs 7. Seahawks 8. Bears -- Another huge gap -- 9. Vikings 10. Redskins 11. Cowboys 12. 49ers 13. Lions 14. Rams 15. Cardinals 16. Panthers Hard to separate the last 8 at this point, but there seems to be a clear separation between the top 8 and the bottom 8, for now.
  21. Not a single Bear from 100-51.
  22. Well, Southern Illinois just lost in about the worst way possible.
  23. I'm not sure I'm necessarily a believer that this is a Super Bowl contender, but there are only 3 teams with a better record than them. Really wish they had even one of the Seattle/Washington games back.
  24. Now I'd really like to have that Cutler goal-line fumble challenge back against Washington.
  25. I can't believe that Gus Johnson was the announcer of the Jags-Texans game.
