    That feels kind of like payback for that ridiculous Browns scoring drive where they should have picked off Flacco like 3 times.

    Sloppy conditions against a great defense and terrible offense. Best that can be said is they're starting to flip the field position.

    I remain reasonably confident that the Niners and Ravens are good this year. I'm not entirely sure any other team is good this year. Dallas, KC, Buffalo, and Philly should be good. Detroit didn't look good at any level in either game against the Bears, and nobody else looks noticeably better than this current Bears team.

    Tennessee wins their first road game of the season, and the Bears somehow still have the #5 pick after this week, and at the same time are just one game out of a playoff spot in the NFC.

    Actually, the Denver defense was worse over the first 4 weeks...until they played the Bears, and then they've suddenly been world beaters since.

    EDIT: Wrong thread. On the general NFL, it seems like one of the odd years where the is just no dominant team. SF and BAL seem the closest but both have laid some eggs already this season.

    Hawks have now won 2 straight, 1-0 and 3-1, the lone goal they allowed given up on an unforgivable 3 on 1 break while the Hawks were on a power play and Seth Jones had a combination terrible giveaway and lack of hustle back to recover from it.

    That's to be expected when you start the year with a bottom 5 roster, and then lose both of the quality veterans you sign for the season less than a month in.

    The thing I really find amusing is that coming into the weekend, everyone was prepared for this outcome and to take Texas and the 3 unbeatens, and it's shown that way in every "predictor" (try ESPN's, it's free) that is how it would shake out, and everyone seemed fine with it, until it actually happened and suddenly it's unimaginable that Alabama could be left out after never looking like a top 4 team all season.

    Ironically enough, this would be a year where the classic 8 team playoff proposal would work perfectly: 5 power conference champs: Michigan, Washington, FSU, Texas, Alabama Group of 5 best team: Liberty (hey, they were also undefeated) 2 at-arge teams: Georgia, Ohio State

    I think it seems fitting that the final year of the (always moronic) 4 team playoff with 5 power conferences finally omits the SEC, as they have each other conference at least once since its inception. Besides, if you look at the computers, Ohio State is the best 1 loss team and nobody seems to be stanning for them.
