  1. Croatia yes; Spain goes through when they draw. I'd imagine Spain would want to win the group, though, and Italy wins the group with a 0-0 Spain/Croatia draw.
  2. Italy scored, so one would think Spain and Croatia have to start being more aggressive.
  3. It's a nonsense statement. Everyone eats bad pitching alive. That is what makes it bad pitching.
  4. Does Liriano get to be 25 again as well?
  5. Let's be fair, Ireland hasn't played 3 yet.
  6. The Cubs are 21-21 when they score at least 3 runs. They're 1-21 when they score 2 or fewer.
  7. They've played Boston an unprecedented number of times on Saturday June 16. Yes, I know it was the Braves at the time, but still.
  8. Sweden just the second team eliminated to this point, through two rounds. No team has clinched a spot in the knockout round yet, and only Germany has won both their matches to this point.
  9. So you're saying the problem...is with the offense?
  10. What about when they lead at the end of the 7th inning? Because I have to figure that's going to be the case at this point.
  11. That first goal for Sweden was terrible. And now England just levelled.
  12. Tony Campana does everything except get to first base.
  13. After swinging at over 45% of pitches out of the strike zone in May, Castro has cut down to swinging at 33% of pitches out of the zone in June thus far. Still slightly above the league average on the year of 30%, but much better.
  14. Heh, I love Peanut. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17pupkrbhz6v7jpg/original.jpg
  15. In 9 innings Yeah, there was a game back in the 20s where both pitchers pitched 26 inning complete games, and both game scores were in the 140s.
  16. Going to Wrigley Field is a huge tourist attraction. Combine that with the Cubs' fans being apathetic about the team on the field this year, and it's hardly surprising that the fans of AL teams that play at Wrigley this year would be swarming the park.
  17. Now, both Spain and Croatia will know that if they draw their match 2-2, they both advance from Group C.
  18. Only two teams in Euro history have scored in the first 5 minutes of each half of a match: Spain v Ireland in 2012, and....Croatia v Ireland in 2012.
  19. Besides playing with double the allowed bench, daily positional switches and too many relievers, he's playing by the rules, though.
  20. That kid is 19! Let me tell you, that is the kind of talent that can bring a franchise back from dead. To put Bryce Harper in perspective...he's 19, too. Yeah, Harper is 46 days older than Baez.
  21. They've also been talking about wanting him to get a full seasons worth of at-bats at AAA. He's currently played 153 games at AAA, so he needs 9 more games to get to 162. June 22 is in 9 days. Do they have 9 games the next 9 days? 1. No, they have 8 2. Rizzo didn't play today, anyway. However, the timing of the end of IL play is convenient for the front office, because they can play up that angle and play down the free agency year angle by bringing him up the 22nd.
  22. Well, since you asked, it probably involves Michigan, and since it's worth asking, it probably involves a Michigan rivalry. So I'll go with Michigan-MSU.
