  1. It's probably meaningless, but I envision the Pirates home crowd like the Cubs crowd in 2008. Just waiting for something bad to happen. Just score 3 runs and take it from there.
  2. If the Broncos hold on vs the Vikings, the Bears will have 2 games remaining on their schedule against teams with winning records.
  3. Giants lose their last game, meaning the Cubs ended up winning the wild card by 13 games.
  4. Hey, it's not 2012, which would have left the Cubs out of the playoffs entirely.
  5. Rangers win the AL West. Angels eliminated.
  6. Cubs win their last 9 road games of the season to finish with an MLB-best 48-33 road record.
  7. Phillies win, meaning no team loses 100 games this season. EDIT: Also, Ichiro Suzuki pitched at the end of that game. He threw a slider. EDIT 2: [tweet]https://twitter.com/iamjoonlee/status/650784783543443457[/tweet]
  8. Kinda rooting for enough runners to get on to give Bryant one more shot.
  9. Now 9-2 Rangers. Tolleson warming up in a private session with Nolan Ryan, just out of spite.
  10. I do kinda want to see if the Rangers will bring in their closer for the 6th day in a row.
  11. 3 walks and a solid single for Bryant today.
  12. I mean, it's not like the Pirates don't have experience losing wild card games at home.
  13. That would be the Rangers.
  14. Jay Bruce is a replacement level player this year.
  15. Oh good, I was worried what the reactionary freaks were going to do with their time with the Cubs clinching two weeks in advance.
  16. Whereas a Rangers win guarantees no baseball tomorrow.
  17. If only the Cubs hadn't sandbagged their first 12 games by keeping Kris Bryant down...
  18. Lost in the crazy Angels comeback is that it came against the Rangers' closer, Shawn Tolleson, who was working his FIFTH consecutive day/game. Note that the Rangers had a 4 run lead to start the inning.
  19. Wait a minute...Illinois won?!
  20. Dodgers just clinched home field advantage in the NLDS. Mets have lost five straight to blow it.
  21. When was the last time that the Cubs finished with a better record than any AL team?
  22. I'm pulling for Starlin to get to 1000 career hits this year.
  23. Why would they be pissed? They can still catch the Rangers for the AL West.
  24. The Twins were just eliminated. Rangers are close to clinching the AL West.
