  1. I'm assuming it was a take all the way since he didn't even do the step.
  2. Coax some base runners off Familia and see if Montero can park one in the seats.
  3. Two runs scored off sketchy defensive plays, one HR on strike 5, and one HR that was the first on Lester's cutter all year. Cubs lose a run on sketchy base running, and hit 8 line drive outs.
  4. Is that a good plan of attack against Harvey? Or are they just being overly anxious for some other reason? In his last start, Harvey struggled badly with his command. It was better tonight, but it would have been nice to the Cubs hitters work him a bit more. He was in the zone pretty much every pitch to start the game. He threw 4 balls outside the zone in the first two innings. The most zone he was catching was with the first pitch. Attacking early was the right call, and they were getting good contact.
  5. I hate knee jerk reactions. Knee jerk perhaps, but Rizzo hasn't had a hit with runners on since Milwaukee. Knee jerk confirmed.
  6. Is this the first time the Cubs have seen Familia this year?
  7. Schwarber ties a club record with a HR in his 3rd straight postseason game. He ties Alex Gonzalez.
  8. He's not even at 100 pitches. After taking a liner off the pitching shoulder.
  9. It's kind of amazing how much you hate the idea of pitch framing and Maddon being a good manager.
  10. Not as much as your post history in this thread.
  11. A bloop and a sacrifice? Must be terrible t-ball hitters.
  12. As usual, nobody understands how good La Stella actually was this season, especially the past month. Yes because a weak contact hitter is what we always need. He looked terrible vs St Louis. He had THREE PLATE APPEARANCES.
  13. As usual, nobody understands how good La Stella actually was this season, especially the past month.
  14. Because now Montero leads off next inning.
  15. See, the trick is to not hit the ball as hard as they've been hitting it.
  16. Lester's spot will come up this inning.
  17. Yeah, Lester, you have to be able to throw 5 strikes to every hitter.
  18. Oh, for [expletive]'s sake. he's correct. you don't pay someone this type of contract to stink I hope this is sarcasm. No the next thing of value he posts will be the first.
  19. This might just be the worst drivel you've spouted this year.
  20. With Ross and Lester coming up an aggressive send makes sense. That's a bit too aggressive though.
  21. Go, sit down, and stop posting for a while.
  22. Man, that has to be the first time the Cubs have trailed in the playoffs.
