Favre has been hurried a lot this year. I'm amazed Favre hasn't been sacked that much this year. The hurries though have caused Favre to make some pretty stupid throws and that's where the INT's come. Bubba Franks is also starting today.

Why? Let Cedeno start and address the outfield situation instead. If you get good bats for CF and RF, no one should have a problem with Cedeno starting. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't complain if the Cubs did get Lugo. However, I would complain if they panicked due to losing out on Furcal and decided to give up way to much for Lugo when they already have a very solid option on the roster in Cedeno. hey i would love Cedeno to be the starting SS. However, I'm a realist and it's not going to happen with Johnnie B. Baker as the manager.

someone please ban that guy. that wasn't even funny, this entirely sucks. Hendry better be working out a trade for Lugo ASAP. BTW, can "Len" comment on who will be our starting SS in April?

this is also my gut feeling. and i had a gut feeling that when we signed Perez, he would be our opening day SS. That feeling has never left me.

Tell us how you really feel about Favre.... :roll: Give me a break, he's getting older yes, but he is still a very good QB. Kinda hard to have a decent year when you have noone to play with. You don't think his consecutive start streak is impressive? I agreed with you until you said his starts streak was impressive. The way this team is looking right now, there's no reason Brett shouldn't at least let Aaron Rodgers see a few series per game to see how he fits in with the offense. if Favre comes back next year, there is no point in really seeing Rodgers get playing time this year. I would like to see him get some snaps in, but I don't think Sherman is going to do it. It's still Favre's team and it will be his team until he retires. and b2ck, give me a freaking break about how his talent has decreased. Look at the players around him. Were on our 5th string RB. Antonio freaking Chatman is our 2nd receiver (and he's actually been a surprise this year.) Our offensive line has a center playing out of position in Scott Wells and a 7th round rookie guard, Will Whitticker. Bubba Franks, Favre's favorite red zone threat, has been hurt for the first time in his career this year. There is NOTHING around him, period.

Brett Favre is to the Bears what Mike Schmidt was to the Cubs. He'll always kill you. As much as I'd love to have the #1 pick and see Reggie Bush in green and gold next year, I want to take the wind out of the Bears sails as well. I always am reminded of the fact that when you guys went 13-3 a few years ago, two of those losses were against the Packers. i would love to beat the Bears at least once, but I don't see it as a realistic option. No matter what happens, win or lose on Sunday, I'll be fine with whatever happens. Beat the Bears on Sunday and I can brag how the worst Packers team in my lifetime beat "a team destined for Detroit." Lose to the Bears and Reggie Bush is that much closer for us. Bears are going to win though, 17-10.

Flames, watching the highlights I'm not sure you choked as much as they won it...that was a beautiful pass by Akron's QB with 10 seconds left. Gotta feel for you though, that didn't look like a fun way to lose. prevent defense the ENTIRE 4th quarter. I say we need a new D-coordinator immediately. Unbelievable, Wolfe had another spectacular game, we had a 14 point lead and we still lose. I can't believe we aren't going to a bowl game.

um how about frank williams and brian cook not getting any better their entire careers under Billy boy and both flopping in the nba? they were both burger boys who bill really didn't help develop much at all. As for Bucknell Bill at least have the decency to let the players know that you were leaving to their faces like Roy did. Also try not to give anymore I am in this for the long haul speeches weeks before you leave us at the first sign of an upgrade. i hope that wright and collins do well because they are illinois kids, however i hope self gets fired and someone else comes in and finishes the job. here here. Snood, the reason were bitter is because the guy flat out left us right when the Kansas job opened. Like illiniguy said, he didn't tell any of the players he was leaving until he basically left. Screw him. I have nothing really against the program of Kansas except the coach of it.

thank god Illinois held on to beat Wichita St. I haven't seen highlights yet, but I heard that Wichita hit a 3 from halfcourt right after the final buzzer sounded. whew.
