NIU plays UIC on Saturday at the Pavilion...Jon, how good is UIC? They've had some impressive wins against Georgia Tech on the road and against Ole Miss at home but they also lost to an NAIA school. They can't be that good, can they?

No to mention the fact they signed AJ Pierzinksi who a lot of the White Sox pitchers credit for doing an excellent job. Say what you want about his personality but the man is talented. i gotta agree with you guys and goony on this one. And I also applaud Williams for not sitting back and doing nothing, being satisfised with just one WS. He's trying to make the team better next year so they can do it again. Who knows how good Chris Young can be? Obviously the Sox are high on Brian Anderson and feel he can be a more than adequate CF. they've already upgraded their offense by adding another basher to the lineup and they've upgraded their rotation as well. As of right now, they're looking poised for another potential WS run in 06.

our FT's killed us in this one. Still, I'm not that upset with the loss seeing Shaq is back for the Heat and they have Riley back on the bench now. Let's get em in Toronto tomorrow.

btw...did anyone else see the warmup shirts the players had on the bench during the game? They looked like Cubs road jerseys and they had the #46 on all of them. I couldn't have been the only one to see that.

my prediction as well. The Steelers are in a big time must win situation tomorrow. If they lose, their playoff hopes are pretty much down the drain. Bears defense accounts for all of the offense they have tomorrow.

a great comeback win tonight! however, we blew yet another big lead with a disasterous 3rd quarter. This has to be already the 6th or 7th time this year where we've had a double digit lead and yet blow it. Oh well, at least we got the W. Duhon, Kirk, and Deng were all big for us tonight. Miami is next on Tuesday and Shaq is supposed to be back for the Heat. Hopefully Benny will be back for us on Tuesday as well. and I actually thought the Stag uniforms looked better tonight..maybe it was because they were on the road tonight or maybe because they actually looked better than those horrendous Bullet jerseys. Why didn't they wear those orange Bullet jerseys?

i can't believe i couldn't watch the Illini game tonight. This game should've been on CSN tonight...oh well very nice win for Illinois. A 30 point win against Oregon at Portland? This team is coming together nicely and from what I heard, Dee was great and Arnold was nice tonight.

we needed Ben, period. With the night Kirk was having, a mediocre night by Ben would've at least put this game close. Duhon was terrible tonight and very turnover prone, Pargo had his usual off night after he has a great game, and I have no idea why Basden was in for the first half of the 4th quarter. Nice game by Kirk and an alright game for Deng..nice first half for Sweetney, but we didn't see much of him after the half. let's get the Wiz tomorrow...i do not want to fall below .500.

thats just the way he always looks. I did see him tearing up a few occasions during the ceremony. a great tribute to #33. Thank you Scottie for everything you have done for the city of Chicago and to the Bulls organization.

radio announcers said Gordon is out for the 2nd half. Looks like it will be the Duhon and Deng show in the 2nd half. It's going to have to be, or else were going to get blown out.

unbelievable, the worst/2nd worst MVC team beats the supposed 2nd/3rd best Big 10 team this year. also Northern Iowa beat Iowa in OT tonight. A great night for the Missouri Valley Conference.

Levine just said on ESPN1000 that the Cubs have 2 offers on the table to 2 different teams...1 is for Pierre, the other is unknown, but if we had to guess, i'm sure we'd all assume its Bradley.

I don't know about that... if the Cubs get Bradley I'd just as soon they concentrate on one great outfielder instead of trying to get a couple good ones. Start by seeing if Philly, Boston, or the Reds would accept a package based on Williams+Hill+others for Abreu, Manny, or Dunn. If they insist on one of Prior/Zambrano as part of the deal, move along to the next tier of OF, namely Wilkerson or Huff. Hopefully some package including Williams and/or Hill could land one of those guys, and in TB's case even get us Lugo as well. I'd be perfectly happy with an OF of Murton-Bradley-(Wilkerson/Huff), as well as content if our middle IF was Cedeno/Walker, though I could also be happy with Lugo/Walker or Lugo/Cedno. agree on everything.

Adrian Griffin is a bum. It only figures the guy comes back and has a career night against us. those jerseys were UGLY. we have the Magic and Lakers for our next 2 games before we play the Wizards and Heat. Let's win the next 2 please.
