If the Iowa fans didn't storm the court, they'd be disrespecting the Illini program. ;) Right, you know Illinois has lost like 1 home game the last decade, yet we weren't even mentioned the entire day when they talked about hardest places to play at. :roll: But, that's ok just keep acting like our program doesn;t exist and get all fired up when we lose espn. plus doug "credit card" gottlieb tried to compare ther 4 guard system at villanove to our 4 guard system. saying theres were better. First off we only had 3 guards last year, secondly name me one of there guys who will be the third pick in the draft. Do you sit around with a notebook so you can count the number of time Illinois is disrespected? Who's acting like they don't exist? They are a fine team. I don't think they will win the Big 10 though. There I go again, disrespecting. The IU/OSU game was a hell of a game. Both of those teams have a better scoring balance than Illinois. Illinois defense is very good, but IU and OSU's aren't exactly bad. as long as Illinois continues to play defense, they will be in every single game. However, I am scared with their offensive futility in the last 2 games. Dee Brown was why we beat MSU and it's not a coincidence that since he was off, we lost today. The role guys are going to have to start picking up the slack on offense (mainly McBride, Carter, and Pruitt). We also need to be a better FT shooting team if we want to have great success. I'm pretty confident that Bruce will have these guys fired up when they play Michigan next week. I am a lot less confident though in the road games at Indiana, OSU, and MSU.

Bulls snap the skid and beat the Bucks 105-91! Very impressive win tonight, the team appeared to be really clicking tonight and they were hustling as well as I've seen them all year. Hinrich listened to Skiles and drove the lane drawing some easy fouls and went to the line a few times tonight. Plz play like this tomorrow as well Bullies :)

No, please don't. Free Jamar Smith. agreed. great defense by Illinois tonight. To hold a team that was averaging 80 a game to 50 is pretty remarkable. Hopefully they don't take Iowa for granted on Saturday even though Horner is out. Nonetheless though, a very nice win tonight :) well i guess i was wrong about this...I saw the box score for the Iowa game last night and Horner did play. I could've sworn he was injured and he was going to miss a lot of time..

i'm sure it was mentioned earlier in the thread "don't want to go back 15 or so pages" but why in the heck did he call for a timeout on the 2 point conversion? He pretty much set himself up for Texas to win after that seeing they couldn't stop the clock at all on their final drive. Carroll definitely did not have his greatest game ever coaching. I personally don't think he called it. I think a player called it. He looked pissed after it was called. interesting. If thats true, I would not want to be that kid right now.

yeah i saw that too. Me and my buddies pretty much said the same thing about him. USC's offense did a great job against Texas' defense, but they did not lose the game. Vince Young stepped up and won it. Why couldn't Leinart just man up to Texas and say they played one hell of a ballgame? Man, and I thought Leinart was a decent guy. Although Young was being a jerk for saying whose the real Heisman. Bush is. He won it. Come back next year and win it. and i agree with you about that. I like the guy, but cmon...Vince had an awesome game, but to do the Heisman thing was pretty out of line.

agreed. The NFL and NBA don't come close to matching the intensity of college football and college basketball.

sorry to all the Saints fans on here, but I see bust all over Leinart. If he struggled against UCLA's defense, what makes people think he is going to throw for 300 yards in the NFL? and Texas gets another 1st :D

USC's backup QB is warming up? What makes Carroll think that John David Booty will have a better game than Matt Leinart? I can't say I'm surprised that Leinart is struggling...it's about time he has faced a good defense.

what else are you going to expect from an announcing booth with Keith Jackson and Dan Fouts? I had no idea who these guys are. I take it they're always this bad? they announced the Rose Bowl last year and it was the absolute worst game I have ever listened to. They were talking over each other pretty much the whole game and Keith Jackson needs a Media Guide desparately.

i hope this game goes 8 OT's :lol: I want Texas to win, but the main thing I want about this game is it to be worth the hype that it has been getting.

i already knew that :wink: like i said a few pages ago, this team is going to have 2 lottery picks this year. One of them has to be used on a Center. We need size, size, and more size.

Ben and Harrington were all we had in the 2nd half. That was a real tough loss....12-18 now :cry:
