    Iowa trails 2-0 at the bottom of the 5th. Ryu through 5: 8 hits, 2 ER's, 1 BB, 3 K's. Hoffpauir has a double, Theriot, McGehee, and Coats have the other Iowa hits.

    Not a good start for Ryu in the 1st. First batter he faced, he allowed a homer. After getting the next 2 outs, he allowed a double and then a single. Luckily for Ryu, Montanez threw the runner out trying to score from 2nd on the single. Iowa lines up like this: Theriot Pie Restovich Hoffpauir Montanez McGehee Coats Soto Ryu

    Iowa wins 5-4. Williams went 5 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 1 BB, and 2 K's. Atlee came in for relief and pitched 2 hitless innings only allowing 1 BB and 1 K. Wuertz pitched the final 2 innings and got the win, but his 9th inning was real shaky. He allowed 3 hits, 2 runs on a homer, and had 2 K's. Theriot and McGehee each had 2 hits, Montanez, Hoffpauir (whose hit was the 3 run homer to give Iowa the lead), Restovich, Soto, and Fontenot each had 1 hit. Pie pinch hit in the 7th and struck out.

    Iowa also won today, 3-2. Walrond had 7 good innings only allowing a run, Ligtenberg picked up his 7th save, and McGehee homered for the I-Cubs. Another perfect day in the minors while yet another perfectly bad day in the majors. Go Jaxx and Chiefs!!!

    No, I think it goes to 3 central because I remember the Cubs playing the Giants at Wrigley a few years ago on a Saturday afternoon.
