Brouwer traded to Washington for the 26th overall draft pick. Pretty good value for him, I'd say.

I'm pretty sure he did the exact opposite of waiving his no trade clause. Correct. I'm dumb.

We were apparently very close to trading Campbell to an unidentified team (Columbus is being speculated), but he waived his no-trade clause to block the deal. That sucks. I understand that he was probably our best defenseman last season, but that contract is an albatross. We wouldn't have had to worry about the cap at all if we were able to dump that contract. btw, the Draft is on Versus right now.

It's easier to just count the guys on the roster who can't play on the wing. Still he's too good to pass up in this draft I think. I like Leonard a lot too but he doesn't fit well either. I think Stuckey moves to the 2 and they let Knight try to take the reins with the new coach. Give us BG back, please.

Here's the latest from the meeting that is going on right now. Key points: - No money off the top for owners, instead players just receive 48% of all revenue - Rookie salary cap that is still being tweeked - 16 week Thursday night schedule starting in 2012 to bring in additional revenue - 90-93% salary floor And apparently, players with 4 years of service in the league would become unrestricted free agents as well.
