  1. Only bad thing about this game is that it's very doubtful Lou's going to get ejected now :(
  2. Oh my God, we're actually leading in the first inning!
  3. Aram and DeRosa are both out with injuries. Really...minor injuries, I would hope.
  4. Wow, just saw the lineup right now. What the heck got into Lou today?
  5. Man, he's in a major funk to start the year.
  6. Oh, and please get ejected Lou. Thanks.
  7. Sacramento lost, but Indiana won. Sacramento still has a game left against Memphis. Other important games of draft note are Seattle-Phoenix and Houston-Portland. Hopefully one of them can pull off the upset. Looks like the Pistons are going to hold on and officially grab the 1 seed.
  8. Ouch, so much for Atkins having a great start. Finished with 4 and a third IP allowing 2 hits, 6 runs, 1 earned, 4 Ks/1 BB and gave up a longball. Two Daytona errors helped contribute to the mess. 7-1 Vero Beach in the bottom of the 6th. And Randy Wells was roughed up in the 1st inning in Albuquerque. 5 hits, 5 ERs, and 2 BBs in just the first inning. 5-0 Albuquerque after 1.
  9. No score for Daytona in the top of the 5th. Atkins is locked into a pitcher's duel. I'd say he's off to a good start: 4 IP, 0 hits, 0 runs, 3 Ks/0 BBs. Iowa's lineup: Fontenot-3B EPatt-2B Pie-CF Hoffpauir-1B Hill-C Moore-LF Coats-RF Rojas-SS Wells-P
  10. Tennessee's game was postponed.
  11. Who is Amador and where did he come from? He has been in the White Sox's system for the last 7 years playing the middle IF, though he's now playing OF for us. I'm not positive how we ended up with him, but I think he was a minor-league free agent. Yeah, I'm not quite sure how we ended up with him either.
  12. Daytona wins it 5-1. Santo picked up the win and Blevins and Avery had two scoreless innings of offense. Colvin went 1/4 with a double in his first start in a few days.
  13. Winning's nice. Let's try to shoot for that on Friday.
  14. Daytona up 2-1 in the 6th. Amador had a 2 run homer in the 3rd which gave Daytona the lead. Santo's line after 5: 5 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 1 K/1 BB
  15. Ahahahahhaa When the teams made the trade, they were both lower seeded playoff caliber teams. Two years later: Who's the 2 seed and who's the lottery pick? Ok, bye. Hahaha thanks for the laugh. I'll take the Bulls side of this trade ten out of ten times. As will I. Yeah, Curry has become a good low-post scorer. But he still hasn't proven that he can pass the ball out of double teams (look at his game a week or so ago when he turned the ball over nine times), and he's still not a real good rebounder for a big guy. Add to the fact how the guy still looks largely out of shape, and I'm glad we did this deal. How anyone can say that we "lost" this trade is beyond me.
  16. I have both of them on one of my fantasy leagues, so hopefully they both do pretty well.
  17. Cardinals beat the Pirates 3-2...ugh. Sox just scored 3 on Huston Street in the 9th and lead the A's 6-3 in the bottom of the 9th.
  18. Just curious, but why was he banned?
  19. Yeah, that's good news :D At least we re-signed both Harris and Barnett to long-term deals. Can't consider the offseason a total failure.
  20. You don't think they'd trade KG (who wants out) for a young stud like Durant? They obviously need to go in a new direction. They'd take a pass on Gordon because Foye is probably going to become the same player. But they'd push awfully hard for Deng AND Tyrus as well as a future draft pick. My attitude has definitely changed since the beginning of the season regarding KG. I wouldn't do it.
  21. This is a joke right? Kevin Durant could outplay Luol Deng right now. Let alone in two years when he is a legit 30 point a night guy who can actually break his man down on the dribble. While that may be true, Luol Deng is pretty close to becoming a star. He's already a very solid player and he's still going to get a lot better. They want to stretch his shot out to the 3 point line this summer. You are going to see a very scary Luol Deng next year. That said, if the Bulls somehow managed to win the 2nd pick, I'd try to swing a deal with whoever wins Number 1 to get Oden. If that isn't possible, take Durant or possibly trade the pick (and high salary...Ben Wallace?) for KG. Nope. If we get a top two pick, I don't want a guy in the wrong side of his career. I'm a huge KG fan, but I'm not giving up Oden/Durant for him. If you don't give me LBJ, Kobe, Wade, or Duncan, you're not getting our pick. Oden and Durant are going to become elite players in the league. That is true, and I'd probably not do the deal. I just can't help but think KG on this team (without losing Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Noc, Thabo, TT, etc...) makes us favorites to win the East and possibly favorites over Dallas, Pheonix, and San Antonio. I don't think you can facilitate a KG deal without one or two of the core guys being in it. Minnesota's asking price was pretty ridiculous from what I've heard. I don't think it's a secret that KG wants out of there because of how upset he is with management, but they're still going to try to get a real good deal out of it. I don't see Paxson trading Big Ben after we just signed him last offseason and I don't see Minnesota wanting Wallace either. If we do end up with a top two pick, I'd be ecstatic with the team we'd have. Oden/Durant, Big Ben, Nocioni, Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Thomas, and Thabo are your main guys. I'd say that team would be a good enough team to compete for several titles without having to make a trade. Of course, this is all premature thinking in that we win the lottery or get the second pick. Yeah, haha. I think Minnesota would do the trade though. KG doesn't want to be there. IMO they'd put up with a few years of Ben Wallace if they get to draft Kevin Durant. However, like you said, it's hard to give up a chance to draft a young player with as much talent as Durant for a guy who's been around a while. All this probably doesn't matter, because I doubt the Bulls get a top 2 pick. Doesn't hurt to dream though. Never say never about that, especially considering that Toronto won the lottery last year with having the 4th worst record.
