  1. This is a joke right? Kevin Durant could outplay Luol Deng right now. Let alone in two years when he is a legit 30 point a night guy who can actually break his man down on the dribble. While that may be true, Luol Deng is pretty close to becoming a star. He's already a very solid player and he's still going to get a lot better. They want to stretch his shot out to the 3 point line this summer. You are going to see a very scary Luol Deng next year. That said, if the Bulls somehow managed to win the 2nd pick, I'd try to swing a deal with whoever wins Number 1 to get Oden. If that isn't possible, take Durant or possibly trade the pick (and high salary...Ben Wallace?) for KG. Nope. If we get a top two pick, I don't want a guy in the wrong side of his career. I'm a huge KG fan, but I'm not giving up Oden/Durant for him. If you don't give me LBJ, Kobe, Wade, or Duncan, you're not getting our pick. Oden and Durant are going to become elite players in the league. That is true, and I'd probably not do the deal. I just can't help but think KG on this team (without losing Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Noc, Thabo, TT, etc...) makes us favorites to win the East and possibly favorites over Dallas, Pheonix, and San Antonio. I don't think you can facilitate a KG deal without one or two of the core guys being in it. Minnesota's asking price was pretty ridiculous from what I've heard. I don't think it's a secret that KG wants out of there because of how upset he is with management, but they're still going to try to get a real good deal out of it. I don't see Paxson trading Big Ben after we just signed him last offseason and I don't see Minnesota wanting Wallace either. If we do end up with a top two pick, I'd be ecstatic with the team we'd have. Oden/Durant, Big Ben, Nocioni, Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Thomas, and Thabo are your main guys. I'd say that team would be a good enough team to compete for several titles without having to make a trade. Of course, this is all premature thinking in that we win the lottery or get the second pick.

  3. Just one back now. Brewers-Marlins has been delayed for quite some time.
  4. Well, the Blackhawks won the NHL lottery as the 5th worst team. Maybe the Bulls will have the same fate
  5. Iowa wins it 9-7 in 10. Baez gets the win. Pie finished at 2/5 with an RBI, a double, 3 runs scored, and 1 strikeout. EPatt struck out twice in both of his plate appearances.
  6. Scott Moore just drove in Soto on an RBI single, giving Iowa an 8-7 lead. Pie grounded out to start the 10th and EPatt struck out swinging before Moore came to the plate.
  7. I took him in the beginning of the 2nd round. The first re-do of the Draft
  8. Baez strikes out the next batter. Free baseball in Albuquerque...
  9. And he walks in a run....tie game.
  10. Baez in to try to get the final out. Bases are loaded for Albuquerque.
  11. Wow, Iowa's lead is only 7-6 now in the bottom of the 9th. Rapada has allowed 3 runs while only retiring one. Albuquerque has runners at 1st and 2nd with only one out still.
  12. Peoria game was called, so the Chiefs win the abbreviated game 8-3. Ceda picked up the W.
  13. If the Reds lose tonight, the whole division will be at .500 or under. That's a great way to start the season.
  14. HOFFPAUIR showing his POWER! 2 run bomb makes it a 7-3 Iowa lead.
  15. If only Milwaukee won that game on Saturday...
  16. FELIX!!! 1st HR of the season! Iowa now up 5-3 in the 8th.
  17. Bulls win it 98-69
  18. Peoria delayed by rain once again, this time in the bottom of the 8th. The Chiefs are up 8-3.
  19. As of right now if the Bulls land in second place ESPN has them playing the Nets. Is that correct? As of now, it is. But the Wizards are reeling while the Nets have been playing better as of late. The Nets own the tiebreaker on the Wiz too, if I'm not mistaken. I really hope that they can overtake the Wizards for 6th.
  20. I like these ideas. Let's just keep it going.
  21. Soto had an RBI groundout that scored Machado, which tied the game at 3. Hoffpauir followed that up with an RBI single scoring Pie. Iowa now leads it 4-3 :)
  22. Mathes' final line: 4 IP, 8 hits, 3 ERs, 1 BB, 4 Ks. Cory Bailey pitched the 5th giving up a hit and striking out 1. Albuquerque still leads it 2-1, headed to the 6th.
  23. Mathes gives up an RBI single. Albuquerque still threatening in the bottom of the 4th with two on and no one out.
  24. Mathes was able to get out of the 2nd with a pop out and then line out DP to 1st. Buck Coats led off the 3rd with a solo shot making it a 2-1 game :)
  25. Mathes is struggling mightily for Iowa. Already has given up two in the 2nd and the bases are still loaded with no one out for Albuquerque.
